In his previous roles, Dr. Charry founded and served as managing director of Global Initiatives from 2008 to 2011, offering consulting services in energy efficiency. He later restructured the company into NewEnergy Global LLC. Between 2004 and 2008, he worked as managing director and chief operating officer for ManattJones Global Strategies, contributing to the expansion of the company’s offices and client base. Dr. Charry has also held roles in higher education, serving on the faculties of The Rockefeller University and New York University. A prolific author, he has published extensively in peer-reviewed scientific and professional journals, as well as trade publications.
Active in civic engagements, Dr. Charry has contributed to initiatives at Georgetown Lutheran Church and supports various charitable organizations. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science, cum laude, from Tufts University in 1970, a Doctor of Philosophy in applied social psychology from New York University in 1976, and received fellowships from the Felix Warburg Foundation and the Rockefeller Foundation. Dr. Charry is associated with industry-related organizations such as the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Psychological Association, the New York Academy of Sciences, and The Rockefeller University Chapter of Sigma Xi.
