He established himself as a coach with the National African American Insurance Association Foundation from 2017 to 2019.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. McCarthy pursued an education at Regis University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in organizational development in 2005 and a Master of Business Administration in 2007. He holds certifications and accreditations from the LinkedIn Corporation, Georgetown University, and McKinsey & Company. Additionally, he is a Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow and holds a CDP certification.
Beyond his responsibilities within the field, Mr. McCarthy has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. He held the role of chair of the chapter development committee of the National African American Insurance Association and contributed to the Surrogacy Miracles Family Foundation. He found success as an author with his written works, which include “Ignite, Inspire, and Innovate,” to be published in 2024, and has been featured in Forbes Business Council panels. He presented at the National African American Insurance Association National Conference and numerous additional panels and speaking engagements. He served in the United States Army from 1990 to 1995.
In addition to his primary vocation, Mr. McCarthy remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He was a member of the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America, Inc., the National African-American Insurance Association, Liberty Employees of African American Descent and Allies, the Maxwell Leadership Team, and Insurtech Insights. In the immediate future, he intends to expand his business beyond the borders of the United States and establish a strong presence in multiple African countries.
