Ravindra Perera, MBA, principal business architect, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in business development.
Mr. Perera is an MBA, TOGAF® enterprise architect, Pega principal business architect, SAFE agilist, 6 Sigma Green Belt & Design thinking practitioner with 20 years of experience in strategy and information technology consulting industry. He is mainly passionate about digital transformation using emerging technologies playing roles ranging from business architecture, engagement manager, delivery lead and client partner roles. Within the past 8 years, he has played pivotal roles of leading delivery and playing principal business architect roles while focusing on continuous learning of immerging technologies. His career has transformed from talking about system functionality to organizational capability which spans both business capabilities & technology capabilities.
Mr. Perera has served Fortune 500 businesses in financial services, healthcare, insurance and media sectors in North America & Europe driving digital transformation across the enterprise optimizing organizational reuse utilizing strategy/technology roadmap, requirement elicitation, Six Sigma-based VA/NVA analysis, process optimizations, TOGAF® enterprise architecture-based capability discussions, customer journey mapping and design thinking workshops.
Mr. Perera has implemented CRM, customer service and call Center applications, web/mobile, workflow automation digital solutioning with exposure to niche areas such as natural language understanding plugged to Cisco to enable utterance-based call routing, Pega omni-channel customer service, AWS Connect, Google Vision API, Voice AI, DocuSign, data warehousing, data visualization, Straight Through Processing (STP), Next Best Action, Real Time Interaction Management (RTIM) and Robotic Process/Desktop Automation (RPA/RDA) use cases. This was all possible while serving key clients including AIG, Allianz Insurance, Aetna, CIGNA, HMSA, Molina Healthcare, Pratt & Whitney, New York Life, BNY, Ascensus, Omnicom Media Group, among others.
Mr. Perera also shows great passion for soft skills and tech skills training and mentoring. He is an active Toastmaster and recently created CXO School (cxoschools.com) imparting his knowledge to aspiring CXOs ranging from young professionals to aspiring students. He commenced his training while at Virtusa as a part-time corporate trainer & a communications trainer. With Toastmasters, he has played pivotal roles from president, vice president, vice president of education, vice president of public relations, and sergeant at arms and taking the clubs to President Distinguished Status for four years as a president or a vice president. He has presented in Regional Scrum Gathering in Sri Lanka and Pakistan, created course material for the Open University of Sri Lanka, and trained students at IIT (Sri Lanka) of Microsoft Imagine Cup.
Mr. Perera attributes his success to his unrelenting desire to surpass the achievements of his predecessors, a drive inspired by his father, who pushed boundaries and took risks to achieve greatness. In the coming years, he aims to become a chief digital officer, aspires to work for organizations like the U.S. Bank in this capacity and plans to participate in MIT’s chief digital officer program to further develop his skills.
