Adam Lafferty, founder of Adam Lafferty Coaching, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in leadership growth and executive coaching.
Building on more than 20 years of experience in the business world, Mr. Lafferty launched his own eponymous professional coaching company in 2023. His career began when he joined Ernst & Young in 2003 in the role of business advisory services and transaction support. This led to further opportunities for Mr. Lafferty, including working in senior business advisory and assurance at the Walt Disney Company and co-founding his first company, the luxury lifestyle brand Libero Ferrero, in 2008. He grew his reputation while serving as the center for operational excellence at Cornerstone OnDemand, the senior director of strategy and operations for TrueCar Inc., and the vice president and head of business operations for Automotive Ventures.
With the founding of his latest venture, Mr. Lafferty has leveraged his extensive skills to create an organization devoted to leadership coaching. While handling the growth of the business, he works directly with clients to determine their goals and create more effective systems for reaching them. Mr. Lafferty considers his greatest skill to be the ability to find simplicity within an increasingly complex world, offering business leaders actionable solutions for improvement. He combines experience in corporate settings and startups with knowledge of technology and an understanding of spirituality, providing a uniquely well-rounded approach to coaching. Mr. Lafferty has experience working with founders, executives, creators and entire organizations. He has found great success by seeking out a middle ground between growth coaching that is entirely business-centric and counseling that leans too much into the metaphysical.
Before starting on his vocational path, Mr. Lafferty set a strong academic foundation for his future. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in accounting and finance from Michigan State University in 2002. Just one year later, Mr. Lafferty earned a Master of Science in international business from the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa. He has continued his education through many certifications, including in executive leadership and ontological coaching for personal and professional mastery from the Newfield Network; in experiential learning, traditional contemplative practices and academic rigor from the University of California Los Angeles Mindful Awareness Research Center in 2019; and in business process design for strategic management from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2021. Most recently, Mr. Lafferty completed the class “Beyond Systems Thinking: Designing Regenerative and Resilient Systems” through the Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule (ETH) Zürich. He is also an active member of the International Coaching Federation.
Known for his dedication to his community, Mr. Lafferty is committed to civic advocacy. He contributed for more than five years as a youth mentor for the Spark Program, where he put his coaching skills to use in helping grade school-age children. Mr. Lafferty has provided guidance as an adviser for Poieto, an organization devoted to making artificial intelligence more accessible. Additionally, he served as a judge in the Annual Innovation in Action Competition at the University of Michigan’s Center for Socially Engaged Design.
Outside of his career, Mr. Lafferty is a devoted husband and father to two children. He enjoys operating his hobby farm in his free time. Looking ahead, Mr. Lafferty plans to expand his coaching business with a focus on digital and in-person workshops and retreats. He also hopes to create courses on regenerative leadership and a podcast, bringing his approach to self-improvement to a wider audience.
