Kristina Chervenka, chief operating officer and co-founder at Five Buffalo Capital LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in real estate and property management.
Nearly 20 years ago, Ms. Chervenka discovered how much satisfaction she got from taking on the diverse responsibilities of a property management role when she took a job with the apartment complex where she lived. Since then, she has built up an esteemed career, having stepped into her current position as chief operating officer and co-founder of Five Buffalo Capital LLC in 2023. Prior to starting her own company, Ms. Chervenka served as vice president for TBD Management LLC by Wan Bridge and vice president of single-family rentals for Westdale Asset Management. She gained five years of experience as the portfolio operations director for Progress Residential. Ms. Chervenka held the position of assistant property manager when she joined Post Properties in 2008 before being promoted to property manager. Her professional life began in 2005 as a leasing consultant for Camden Property Trust, where she later became an assistant manager.
Ms. Chervenka’s accomplishments have been made possible by a solid academic foundation. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science and government from Oklahoma State University in 2005, initially intending to pursue law school. After shifting to real estate, Ms. Chervenka obtained numerous certifications to support her new direction. She is licensed as a real estate agent in Texas and Florida and is working toward property management designation and registered investment adviser certificates. Additionally, Ms. Chervenka has been certified as a Florida community association manager by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. She considers her greatest accomplishment to be receiving the Property Manager of the Year Award and increasing her company’s net operating income by 20% yearly.
When she’s not working, Ms. Chervenka enjoys reading, traveling and walking dogs for the Houston Humane Society. She also volunteers with the Houston Children’s Charity. Looking to the future, Ms. Chervenka is committed to continuing to learn more about financial planning while obtaining her property management designation. She also loves writing and is hoping to publish her first book.
