Additionally, he dedicates his time as a board director for various organizations, including the Wire Association International in 2024, the American Wire Producers Association from 2020 to 2024, Home Medical Equipment Services from 2015 to 2021, and the Joplin Humane Society from 1991 to 1994. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Institute of Management Accountants. He laid a solid educational foundation, earning a Bachelor of Science in business administration in accounting from Missouri Southern State University in 1991, and is a certified public accountant and a certified management accountant.
Reflecting on his career, Mr. Hoagland has achieved numerous milestones, including record rod profitability in 2022, marking the highest in a 20-year history with 200% EBIT growth. In 2023, he spearheaded a project to increase the utilization of the rod operations, boosting capacity from 55% and driving millions of dollars in improvements, while avoiding significant weekly losses and meeting both internal and external sales requirements. Additionally, he improved efficiencies by 15% and reduced overall costs by hundreds of thousands of dollars through advancements in operational efficiency, manufacturing operations, and measurement time studies. He attributes his success to perseverance and humility, and he remains committed to continuous improvement. Throughout his various roles, he has faced significant challenges, but he embraces the philosophy, “If you don’t quit, you will succeed,” a lesson he imparts to his children.
