Bing-Syin Ye, LLM, CPCU, CCP, assistant claims manager at MSIG North America, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in maritime law and insurance.

With a decade and a half of experience, Mr. Ye has built a successful career in marine insurance and maritime law. He currently serves as an assistant claims manager at MSIG North America, a position he has held since 2021. In this role, he oversees all marine business and operations, including supervising his team and managing cargo and eight reliability claims. His previous experience includes serving as section head at W K Webster & Co Ltd. from 2010 to 2017 and as a research assistant at National Taiwan Ocean University from 2006 to 2007. He also dedicates his time to several leadership roles, including vice president and treasurer of the Certified Claims Professional Accreditation Council since 2019, and as an arbitrator with the Transportation Arbitration Board, as well as serving as a member of the International Legal Honor Society of Phi Delta Phi since 2008.

In light of his impressive undertakings, Mr. Ye was honored with the American Marine Claims Award from the American Institute of Marine Underwriters in 2020, first place in the Law and Politics Science Studying Abroad Scholarship from the Ministry of Education, Taiwan in 2009, third place in Taiwan’s 5th Anniversary of WTO Membership Essay Competition in 2007, and second place in the New Century UN Essay Competition from the Taiwan New Century Foundation in 2005. He was also named a Distinctive NTOU Youth by the National Taiwan Ocean University in 2005.

Laying a solid educational foundation, Mr. Ye earned a Bachelor of Laws from the Department of Law at National Taipei University in 2002, followed by a Master of Laws from the Institute of the Law of the Sea at National Taiwan Ocean University in 2006, and a Master of Laws from Indiana University Maurer School of Law in 2009. He also has several certifications, including an insurance adjuster certification for all lines in Florida, an independent adjuster certification in property/casualty for Rhode Island, and both an associate in marine insurance management and risk management from The Institutes Knowledge Group, where he also earned a chartered property casualty underwriter designation. Additionally, he is a senior claim law associate certified by the American Educational Institute Inc., a certified claims professional through the Certified Claims Professional Accreditation Council and holds a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from Dartmouth’s Thayer School of Engineering. He is also licensed as a life insurance broker, property and casualty insurance broker, and independent adjuster for general claims in New York.

Mr. Ye takes great pride in being honored with the American Marine Claims Award by the American Institute of Marine Underwriters, a prestigious recognition of his outstanding achievements and valuable contributions to the industry. Reflecting on his path, he attributes his success to his education and personality. In the coming years, he is determined to secure a higher position within the rapidly expanding company. His goal is to align his growth with the company’s trajectory and ultimately become a prominent leader in the industry. In advising aspiring professionals, he emphasizes the importance of knowledge integration. He believes that rather than focusing solely on one field, you should spread your expertise across various areas, including insurance, quality control, and risk management.
