He currently serves as the director of financial planning and analysis at Monumental Sports & Entertainment, a role he has held since 2022. His experience at Monumental Sports & Entertainment includes finance manager for global partnerships from 2021 to 2022, senior finance analyst from 2019 to 2021, finance analyst from 2018 to 2019, and finance assistant in 2017. His earlier roles include CRM and marketing database intern for the Washington Redskins from 2016 to 2017, licensed loan officer assistant at American Pacific Mortgage in San Diego from 2014 to 2016, and client service associate at Samuel Scott Financial Group in San Diego from 2013 to 2014.
Mr. Clem also dedicates his time to Beta Theta Pi Fraternity, the Arena Men’s Group, and serves as a career mentor for the University of San Diego’s Knauss School of Business mentorship program. He contributes as a planning committee member and guest speaker for Sports Biz Camps in Washington, DC, and volunteers with Habitat for Humanity. In light of his impressive undertakings, he was awarded the Theta Award for Academic Excellence by Beta Theta Pi Fraternity in 2013 and was a finalist for Beta Theta Pi of the Year. Laying a solid educational foundation, he earned a bachelor’s degree in international business with a minor in mathematics from the University of San Diego in 2013 and an Master of Professional Studies in sports industry management with a business management and operations concentration from Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies in 2018.
Reflecting on his path, Mr. Clem’s most notable achievement was navigating the significant challenges posed by COVID-19, which greatly impacted the organization’s revenue streams. Faced with canceled seasons and prepayments from sponsors amounting to over $20 million in credits owed to 300 sponsors, he played a crucial role in developing creative strategies to meet these commitments without issuing direct reimbursements. He attributes his success to a strong work ethic, consistently maximizing opportunities, exceeding expectations, and adding value to others and organizations. Looking to the future, he is dedicated to building genuine connections and aspires to advance to a vice president role, as well as pursue his passion for working with a baseball team.
