Ms. Rowe and her team are well-versed in providing field oversight and assistance in fulfilling the regulatory and reporting processes required by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency and the Illinois Department of Transportation. Earlier in her career, Ms. Rowe was employed by the U.S. Department of Energy, where she focused on its coal demonstration program. She later earned the opportunity to work for a major coal company that owned several mines in Southern Illinois. In this capacity, she was responsible for managing various environmental initiatives. Ms. Rowe also gained tremendous experience that led to establishing a financial plan to assist individuals with leaking underground storage tanks.
In preparation for her career, Ms. Rowe received a Bachelor of Science in geology from the University of Southern Illinois at Carbondale in 1984 and a Master of Arts in environmental studies from the University of Illinois Springfield in 1987. Additionally, she received credentials as a professional geologist in 1992, making her highly qualified in her industry.
Active in her professional community, Ms. Rowe is a member of the Professionals of Illinois for Protecting the Environment. Civically, she has been devoted to various local causes, including fundraisers for parish schools and active with the Mini Burn Crisis Nursery at a nearby church.
Highly accomplished in her field, Ms. Rowe has been lauded for her work in developing groundwater and underground storage tank legislation and regulations. As a subject matter expert, she has testified before the U.S. Congress and state legislators when the government was considering new regulations. Furthermore, the Coal Development Board recognized her with a Governor’s Award.
Passionate about the industry, Ms. Rowe remains inspired due to her thorough appreciation for the work. She enjoys assisting clients and draws tremendous fulfillment in witnessing projects through to completion. Additionally, she finds satisfaction in remediating sites and knowing that every job she was a part of was done methodically and with precision. Noting that the soil and groundwater remediation field can be complex, especially when dealing with major clients such as oil companies, Ms. Rowe stresses the importance of ensuring that her work positively impacts future generations.
