Anais Habbar, vice president of global marine at DL Services and chief executive officer of the Galley at Sea Academy, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in supply chain management and architectural design.
For nearly 20 years, Mrs. Habbar has proven herself as an essential element of DL Services, a leading cruise ship design firm. The company was originally founded by her father in 2004. Mrs. Habbar joined the organization in 2007 as the director of sales and business development. After several years in that role, she was promoted to project development manager. Following two years as the director of business development, Mrs. Habbar accepted the position of vice president of global marine at DL Services in 2019. In 2024, she started her own business, Galley at Sea Academy, where she currently serves as chief executive officer concurrent with her DL Services work.
Through her time at DL Services, Mrs. Habbar has helped establish the company’s esteemed spot in the marine industry. She has overseen massive expansions in the organization’s market presence, including collaborations with such clients as Royal Caribbean Cruises, Carnival Cruise Line, Norwegian Cruise Line and Disney. Most recently, Mrs. Habbar signed a major deal to introduce DL Services’ Life Cycle System to three Virgin Voyages ships. Her responsibilities include meeting with potential new clients, gathering all necessary information on their needs, effectively communicating that data to the design team, and ensuring that the result lives up to the client’s expectations. Mrs. Habbar’s contributions have aided DL Services in growing to nearly $5 million in turnover. She has further demonstrated her expertise in the maritime space through the Galley at Sea Academy, which provides courses and consulting that teach kitchen makers how to design for cruise ships.
Mrs. Habbar’s performance in her professional life has been born of her academic journey. In 2008, she earned a Master of Business Administration in international business from CCI Nantes St-Nazaire in France. Additionally, Mrs. Habbar stays updated on the latest developments in her field through affiliations with industry-related organizations. She is an active member of the Women’s International Shipping & Trading Association and serves on the board of directors for the Marine Hotel Association.
Beyond her primary vocation, Mrs. Habbar has also pursued writing as a means of sharing her story with a wider audience. She published her autobiography, “Towards Self-Realization,” in 2022. In this book, Mrs. Habbar discusses her journey from Chile to France to the United States, how she discovered her career path and how she developed self-confidence along the way. She also details her entrepreneurial spirit, which she shares with her father. Mrs. Habbar credits her success to the support of her family and the trust granted to her by her customers. She notes the importance of always operating from a place of love and respect for other people.
Outside of her career, Mrs. Habbar is a dedicated wife and mother to two sons. Looking to the future, she is focused on continuing to grow DL Services’ presence in the industry, including working on new services to offer to clients. Mrs. Habbar also harbors long-term ambitions for the Galley at Sea Academy. She aims to provide a range of certifications through the institution, raising the standard of quality across the cruise ship industry as a whole.
