Cory Sandrock, founder and managing partner at Pareto & Company, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in finance.
With nearly two and a half decades of experience, Mr. Sandrock has established a distinguished career in finance and private equity. He currently serves as chief executive officer of Memorable Experiences Group, a role he has held since 2021, chairman of the board at First Choice Lab Group since 2019, and chief executive officer and managing director of Pareto & Company since 2016. His experience also includes serving as a board member at United Air Temp from 2021 to 2024 and as chief financial officer of The Tooth Factory Inc. from 2014 to 2019. Prior to these roles, he was head of planning and analysis for workplace services at Northern Trust Corporation from 2014 to 2016 and executive director of liquidity and capital resources at the University of Chicago from 2009 to 2014. Earlier in his career, he gained valuable expertise as a senior analyst with JGS Investments LLC and Strategic Capital Bank from 2007 to 2009, a wealth management adviser at UBS Wealth Management from 2006 to 2007, and in creative and managerial roles such as assistant director at Goodman Theatre and associate producer at Ensemble Studio Theatre.
In addition to his extensive professional experience, Mr. Sandrock has served as an adjunct lecturer at the School of Communication at Northwestern University since 2014 and at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business from 2012 to 2018. His creative endeavors include writing, producing, and directing with Madtown Media from 2002 to 2004, as well as serving as a playwright for works such as “The Oven,” “Frankenstein,” “Golden Pheasants,” and “Nevermore.” He is actively involved in various organizations, including the Independent Sponsor Forum, where he is a member, and the GreenMan Theatre Troupe. He also served as a board member and observer at OptioRx in Oak Brook, Illinois, from 2018 to 2022, and contributes his time to Mercy Home for Boys & Girls. His impressive achievements have earned him recognition as one of the Top 100 People in Finance and among the Most Promising Finance Leaders by CIO Magazine.
Reflecting on his path, Mr. Sandrock laid a strong educational foundation for his accomplishments, earning a Bachelor of Science in theatre from Northwestern University in 2001 and a Master of Business Administration in finance, economics, entrepreneurship, and accounting from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 2006. After completing his master’s degree, he ventured into the world of finance, gaining experience across various sectors of financial and investment domains, connecting with numerous individual investors who shared his interest in pursuing private equity transactions. He takes great pride in his successful launch of Pareto & Company. By establishing his own firm, he has had the opportunity to collaborate with a talented team of professionals and has orchestrated several lucrative deals, notably, the acquisition of United Air Temp.
Mr. Sandrock attributes his successes to his open-mindedness and his ability to seek out and take advantage of a wide range of opportunities. In the coming years, he is determined to actively seek out and capitalize on lucrative investment prospects. In addition, he is committed to expanding the team at Pareto in order to enhance operations while maintaining strong interpersonal connections. On a personal level, he is dedicated to supporting his son through his education and plans to devote more time to honing his theatrical abilities through the art of creative writing.
