Mr. Hainkel began his career as a senior tax administrator at Federated Department Stores from 1988 to 1992. He later advanced to become the manager of taxation and head of tax at Moorman Manufacturing Corporation in Quincy, Illinois from 1994 to 1996. His proficiency in his respective field was honed during his tenure as a senior manager of mergers and acquisitions at Deloitte & Touche between 1997 and 2001. Subsequently, Mr. Hainkel served as a senior manager at the National Office West of Ernst and Young, now known as EY, in Los Angeles from 2001 to 2002 before becoming the managing director at JMH Consulting in Camarillo, California from 2002 to 2008.
Mr. Hainkel’s academic background laid a strong foundation for his professional achievements, having initially earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from the University of Houston in 1978. He eventually concluded his formal studies at the University of Houston, graduating with a Master of Science in taxation in 1979. Mr. Hainkel’s impressive education has been pivotal in shaping his ability to navigate complex financial landscapes and develop innovative tax strategies.
Beyond his primary endeavors, Mr. Hainkel remains involved in several civic organizations. Notably, he has contributed as treasurer for the Rotary Club of Quincy, Illinois and a board member of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation. Additionally, he has been active as the Houston Harris County treasurer for the Red Cross Youth. Mr. Hainkel’s expertise is further recognized through his membership in industry-related associations such as Sigma Nu and the board of governors for the City Club of Los Angeles.
Outside of his professional responsibilities, Mr. Hainkel is renowned for his leadership qualities and dedication to fostering growth among his colleagues. Born in Houston, he attributes much of his success to his exceptional faith, his kindness, his leadership skills, and the strong values instilled in him by his family. Mr. Hainkel is likewise distinguished for his ability to conceptualize solutions where others may not and for prioritizing the collective success of his team over personal accolades.
