Since 2020, he has served as director of business development for NutraPak USA, operating under the formal name Icelandirect Inc. LLC. In this role, he leads a team of four and oversees the sales department, focusing on generating new business opportunities, identifying potential customers, exploring new sales channels, and expanding into international markets, including Europe, Asia-Pacific, and China. His experience also includes roles as sales manager at Icelandirect Inc. LLC from 2021 to 2024, commercial manager from 2021 to 2022, and distributor manager at HNH North America, DSM from 2020 to 2021. He also served as account manager for DSM from 2018 to 2020 and customer solutions specialist and sales specialist in Parsippany from 2015 to 2017. In addition to his professional endeavors, he is committed to giving back to his community, dedicating time as a donor to the American Heart Association and volunteering as a youth football coach.
Laying a solid educational foundation, Mr. Leonte earned a Bachelor of Science in biology with a concentration in biological sciences, anatomy, and physiology, graduating cum laude from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 2015. He went on to earn a Master of Business Administration in business administration and management at the same institution in 2019. Reflecting on his path, one of his most significant achievements has been his role in transforming the company’s manufacturing operations. When he joined the organization, production was entirely outsourced due to the lack of manufacturing infrastructure within the U.S. Recognizing the strategic importance of in-house capabilities, he played a key role in establishing a fully operational U.S.-based manufacturing facility. This pivotal transformation streamlined production, improved quality control, and strengthened the company’s ability to serve the North American market. Over the past five years, he has been a driving force behind the company’s sales growth, helping to expand its market presence and footprint across North America, and ensuring the organization’s long-term competitiveness and sustainability, solidifying its position as a leader in the industry.
In light of his impressive undertakings, Mr. Leonte was honored with the Rising Star Award by DSM, a global manufacturer specializing in nutritional ingredients, in 2018. He attributes his success to persistence, a commitment to continuous learning, and the invaluable guidance of a trusted mentor. Additionally, he credits his relentless drive to overcome challenges and adapt to changing market conditions.
