With nearly three decades of experience, Mr. Shrivastava has built a distinguished career in information technology, specializing in artificial intelligence, natural language processing, security, and system programming. Since 2021, he has served as senior vice president and head of products at Persistent Systems, leading a team of approximately 800 engineers in developing AI-driven products. Since joining the company in 2021, he has contributed to its growth to a $10 billion enterprise. His experience includes head of products at Persistent Systems from 2021 to 2022 and head of business unit at Harman International from 2016 to 2021, where he also served as senior director of engineering from 2013 to 2021. Earlier in his career, he was director of engineering at Matrix 42 from 2012 to 2013 and software architect at Matrix 42 and Persistent Systems between 2011 and 2013. He was also senior product analyst at BMC Software from 2005 to 2011, worked on national security missions with the Government of India from 1999 to 2008, and contributed as a member of the technical staff at the Center for Development of Advanced Computing, focusing on supercomputers for India.
Mr. Shrivastava laid a solid educational foundation, earning a bachelor’s degree in computer science from S.P. College in 2000, a postgraduate diploma in advanced computing from MET Bandra in 2001, and a postgraduate diploma in information technology from Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies in 2011. He has dedicated additional time as a research analyst with Mustus from 2005 to 2011 and a student guide with C-DAC from 2001 to 2005. His contributions include promoting work-life balance and spearheading projects like Persistent Products at Persistent Systems since 2021, Marimba with Harman International from 2005 to 2021, and earlier innovations such as Es-Vault, Anveshak, Mantra, a translation system, and the medical expert system. In light of his impressive undertakings, he was honored with the Innovation of the Year award by NASSCOM in 2020 and the Presidential Award from the President of India in 2008 for his contributions to national security. Looking to the future, he is particularly interested in integrating productivity tools like Microsoft Copilot into mainstream organizations to improve efficiency, work-life balance, and employee well-being.
