Kevin Christopher Hartman, partner solutions leader at Databricks, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in data solutions.
With over three decades of experience, Mr. Hartman has established a succcessful career in data solutions and education. He currently works as a partner solutions leader at Databricks where he helps consulting partners build Data and AI solutions on the Data Intelligence Platform.
Mr. Hartman’s specialty is formulating high-impact solutions that leverage technology innovation. He’s inspired, influenced, and led the creation of hundreds of digital products; working from both inside and alongside teams of researchers, scientists, designers, engineers and enthusiasts.
As a technology polyglot, Mr. Hartman gets his hands dirty in a lot of the technical details for products and projects. But he also has the acumen to manage the 10,000 foot view in a room with executives. His leadership experience includes delivering outcomes using Agile and Lean methods, building high-performing, cross-functional teams, driving stakeholder alignment and executing strategic plans.
Mr. Hartman’s responsibilities at Databricks include collaborating with global and regional consulting firms to develop innovative solutions, establish centers of excellence, and build practitioner-level competencies, empowering organizations through data and AI-driven frameworks.
His experience also includes serving as a lecturer at UC Berkeley where he teaches and advises students working on their Data Science Capstone projects. He was also most recently a national managing director of Data and AI solutions at Unify Consulting, focusing on product management, machine learning engineering, data science, digital strategy, and technology.
Laying an educational foundation, he earned a Bachelor of Science in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 1991 and a master’s degree in information and data science from the University of California, Berkeley, in 2020.
Mr. Hartman attributes his success to hard work, emphasizing that while some individuals may possess innate talents, hands-on experience is essential for effectively teaching and assisting others. Looking to the future, he aims to continue supporting organizations in achieving success with data and artificial intelligence solutions. Passionate about the art of creation, he takes pride in helping turn ideas into reality. In the coming years, he hopes to remain deeply engaged in his work while placing greater emphasis on teaching and contributing to the educational process. Even when he decides to retire, he plans to continue teaching, ensuring his knowledge and passion for learning are shared with future generations.
When he is not spending time working on his next project, Mr. Hartman is an avid cook and aspiring family photographer. His favorite subjects (and taste-testers) are his wife and two children. With his family, he also loves to travel.
