His experience also includes chief information officer at Aprio in 2023 and 2024, director of the technology and security advisory practice at Aronson LLC from 2021 to 2022, and chief information technology officer at Aronson LLC from 2019 to 2022. He also worked as director of IT at Capgemini Government Solutions from 2017 to 2019, adjunct faculty at George Washington University from 2016 to 2017, solution principal at Slalom Consulting in 2016, and specialist leader at Deloitte Consulting from 2004 to 2016. His earlier roles include senior software engineer at BMT from 2002 to 2004, software developer at 24/7 Real Media in 2001, and advanced support specialist at Harvard University from 1996 to 2001. He began his career as a programmer analyst intern at Capital One in 2000 and software engineer at Quantum Research International from 1998 to 1999.
Mr. Anyanwu laid an educational foundation, earning a Bachelor of Arts in computer science from Harvard University, a Master of Science in computer science from The Johns Hopkins University, and an Executive Master of Business Administration in management and operations from the Quantic School of Business and Technology. He holds a number of professional certifications including PMI-ACP, Project Management Professional, Certified Scrum Master, Inclusive Mindset, CyberAB Registered Practitioner, Certified Scrum Professional, SAFe Program Consultant, and Agile IT Operations Management. Additionally, he has contributed to publications such as CIOReview, Wall Street CIO Journal, and ACT-IAC, addressing IT service management, agile practices, and procurement strategies. His community contributions include serving as director of technology ministry for Spirit of Faith Christian Center from 2019 to 2023 and active involvement with the Society for Information Management Capital Area Chapter since 2018.
Reflecting on his path, during his time at Aronson, Mr. Anyanwu led the creation of a technology-enabled office, facilitating a seamless virtual transition during the pandemic. His leadership in cloud modernization earned the firm recognition as the best in technology in 2021, and in light of his impressive undertakings, he was also honored as an IT Management Professional of the Year by AOTMP in 2022. He attributes his success to God, mentors, education, and trusted clients. Looking to the future, he aims to establish The Agile CIO as a national brand and build impactful partnerships while supporting nonprofits and giving back to the community.
