Mr. Parke, senior director of international sales at the award-winning consumer electronics brand Satechi, based in San Diego, joined the company in 2023. His background in electronics and sales spans more than 20 years, leveraging his success and expertise to serve clients. In his leading role, Mr. Parke is tasked with utilizing his global executive and sales background to continue to grow his organization. Founded in 2005, Satechi’s products can be found worldwide.
Before being acquired by Satechi, Mr. Parke was the executive vice president and managing director of APAC at Otter Products LLC in Hong Kong, a global technology manufacturing company, from 2018 to 2022. He was also the senior vice president at Coolpad US in Bellevue, Washington, between 2013 and 2018, where he was instrumental in establishing and maintaining United States carrier relationships and overseeing sales management responsibilities. Furthermore, Mr. Parke held a leading role with T-Mobile USA and the Chinese manufacturer Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd.
Mr. Parke began his career with Sony Ericsson. For over five years, he worked in various positions, working his way up from a sales associate to engaging in marketing and field support. He also had the opportunity to oversee the entire western region of the U.S. regarding marketing and field support. This tenure included multiple locations nationwide, including Dallas and Indianapolis, before settling in Seattle for approximately a decade. While in Seattle, Mr. Parke was involved in a joint venture before Sony Ericsson dissolved it, prompting him to join Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd.
While employed at Huawei, Mr. Parke was pivotal in boosting smartphone sales with several major carriers, including T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon. In one year alone, he grew revenue from zero to nearly $1 billion. Mr. Parke’s work spanned multiple regions, including Canada and South America. He also spent significant time in Colombia, establishing a presence within the country.
Throughout his career, Mr. Parke has garnered tremendous success in various areas of the business, especially mobile telecommunications and technology sales, as well as marketing and business development. His tenure has also been instrumental in helping facilitate foreign companies entering U.S. markets and U.S. companies expanding internationally.
A graduate of Weber State University in Ogden, Utah, Mr. Parke received a Bachelor of Science in technical sales and Spanish. Subsequently, he received a Master of Business Administration in global management and strategy from the University of Phoenix. Mr. Parke also completed an executive leadership program in Singapore.
In light of his accomplishments, Mr. Parke received various Salesman of the Year Awards. He attributes his good fortune to his perseverance, noting that every setback, rejection and disappointment has allowed him to learn and grow.
Eager for future success, Mr. Parke envisions becoming a consultant where he can spend six months each year working with organizations that need assistance building strategies to become successful. He is also interested in assisting small to medium-sized companies or privately held family-run businesses preparing to expand internationally. Noting that every country is different, Mr. Parke stresses the need to create tailored strategies, since a particular business approach that might work in China might not work in the U.S., and vice versa.
