Sandeep Kaipu, Senior Manager of Research and Development at Broadcom, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Engineering Software Systems.
Mr. Kaipu, a leading software engineer, joined Broadcom in 2023 and has been actively involved in software engineering management. Leveraging his expertise in building cloud platforms and artificial intelligence (AI) solutions, he is primarily responsible for creating cloud computing platforms for large enterprises. He is also tasked with leading the platform services team that develops and integrates with the AI execution workload.
Broadcom is a global semiconductor manufacturing company and infrastructure technology leader based in Palo Alto, California. The company has existed for over six decades and draws success from its significant innovation and engineering excellence.
Previously, Mr. Kaipu spent over a decade with VMWare by Broadcom, beginning as a research and development manager from 2012 to 2016 and then as a senior research and development manager until 2023. His expertise extended to his role as a lead engineer at Nokia in India between 2011 and 2012 after serving in the same role at Samsung Electronics in India from 2007 to 2011. Mr. Kaipu’s earlier career included working for IBM India Software Lab as a software engineer between 2006 and 2007.
Earning his degrees in his home country of India, Mr. Kaipu received a Bachelor of Technology in computer science and engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in 2004 and a Master of Science in engineering software systems from Birla Institute of Technology and Science in 2006. Adding to his professional credentials, he completed the innovation management program at Scheller College of Business at Georgia Tech in 2017 and the managerial leadership program at the Goizueta Business School at Emory University in 2018. Mr. Kaipu also received certification as a SAFe 5 architect through Scaled Agile Inc. in 2022 and a solutions architect through Amazon Web Services Inc. in 2024.
Mr. Kaipu is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and the Association for Computing Machinery and is active with a local diversity-based engineering group. Furthermore, he has served as the co-chair of the AI Innovators Forum at Founders Creative, a member organization dedicated to AI founders, investors, engineers and operators who strive to enhance and innovate in the industry.
Besides his primary career achievements, Mr. Kaipu authored “Managing Software Engineering Teams of Artificial Intelligence Developers.” As a researcher, he has secured several U.S. patents, including data change between applications, searching content associated with multiple applications, and resource injection for application wrapping.
Having achieved many milestones throughout his career, Mr. Kaipu is incredibly proud to have delivered the Empire Cloud Foundation 5.0., a significant release pivotal during the acquisition of Broadcom and VMware Cloud Foundation, where he served as the project engineering lead. Crediting much of his success to his expertise in AI, cloud development and cloud applications, he also credits his natural curiosity for allowing him the ability to devise such vital developments.
