Silvia M. Ruiz, principal of Pneuma Christian Academy, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in education.
Ms. Ruiz is a respected school administrator who joined Pneuma Christian Academy in Miami, Florida, as the school’s principal in 2022. Besides managing payroll, finances, marketing, and other daily obligations, she has been instrumental in the school’s significant increase in student enrollment, marking a 30%-40% growth over the past two years. As such, the school has also been able to begin providing previously unavailable services to students. Before pivoting into her role, Ms. Ruiz was a financial services representative for over 15 years and a business consultant from 2007 to 2009. She also served six years in the United States Marine Corps, where she excelled as a command language program manager.
A graduate of Florida International University, Mr. Ruiz received a Bachelor of Arts in political science and a Master of Science in human resource development in 1998 and 2007, respectively. Crediting her education to much of her success, she also maintains a strong work ethic, which she learned from her parents, who were refugees from Cuba.
Beyond her primary career objectives, Mr. Ruiz has been affiliated with several nonprofit charitable organizations, such as Hope for Miami and The Children’s Trust. Her honorable service in the U.S. military earned her a Commendation Medal from the U.S. Marine Corps. In the coming years, Ms. Ruiz aims to be in a position where she can continue to make a meaningful contribution. In the meantime, she intends to continue working toward her goals and striving for success as a servant leader.
