As part of her responsibilities, Ms. Keys oversees live events, broadcasts and theme park entertainment, including fountain design and light programming. She also leads a team of individuals collaborating with vendors and implementing design. Moreover, Ms. Keys is instrumental in production regarding the design of artists and producers with specific visions of how each show should look.

A leader in her field for over two decades, Ms. Keys began her career in 2003 as an electrician and house manager at California State University (CSU) Fullerton. Subsequently, she began working as an electrician for Audio Visual Technology, a Qatar-based company that supplies high-end audio, video, broadcast and lighting equipment from some of the most renowned manufacturers worldwide. Ms. Keys was then acquired by The Walt Disney Company in 2007 as a lighting programmer and designer until 2014. Her tenure at The Walt Disney Company saw her involved in various venues at the Disneyland Resort, involved in several shows, such as Mad T-Party, Disney Jr. Live on Stage! and Disney Channel Rocks.

Ms. Keys received a Bachelor of Arts in technical theater at CSU Fullerton in 2007. She has become active with several industry-related organizations since the start of her career, including the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees and the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists. Furthermore, Ms. Keys has contributed as an author of “The Automated Lighting Programmer’s Handbook,” fourth edition, A Focal Press Book, in 2021, and “Collected Light Volume Three: Women in Entertainment Lighting, Light Collective” in 2024.

Leveraging her diverse expertise to garner success, Ms. Keys’s lighting and creative design for various settings, including theatrical, outdoor festivals, e-sports gaming competitions and theme park entertainment, have set her apart from other industry leaders. In recent years, her most notable achievements have included her significant contributions to esports gaming, which has grown tremendously in scale and viewership.

Having been recognized for her work, Ms. Keys received an Award for Outstanding Achievement-Nighttime Spectacular, World of Color, by the Themed Entertainment Association in 2010, an Excellence in Live Design Award for Venue for Mad T-Party in 2013, and a 2024 Most Creative Spectacle from the Global Association for the Attractions. She also received a nomination for a coveted Emmy Award for Outstanding Lighting Design and Direction for a Variety Series by the Television Academy in 2021. Ms. Keys attributes her success to her passion for performance, creativity and connecting with others on a global scale. Her future goals include creating experiences that matter in the entertainment industry, emphasizing the importance of making iconic moments that resonate with people and hold significant value.
