In addition to her primary role, Ms. Christine co-founded the Cross Pacific Design Group, collaborating with a sister firm in New Zealand to offer clients a transcontinental design process. Her dedication to expanding her influence in the architectural world is further demonstrated by her upcoming YouTube channel, “Design Talk,” which she will host alongside her daughters. The channel will explore various design-related topics, including architectural travel and culinary art, with a broader audience. It will also have three distinctive components, providing educational and engaging content for a diverse audience interested in design and architecture.
Ms. Christine’s career began at Meg McLaurin AIA in Raleigh, North Carolina, where she honed her skills as an architect from 2002 to 2015. Her tenure there laid the foundation for her future endeavors and provided valuable experience she carries into her current roles. Her ability to engage clients and secure projects has been instrumental in Ms. Christine’s success, emphasizing the importance of developing trusting client relationships.
In preparation for her future, Ms. Christine received a Bachelor of Design in architecture from the University of Florida in 1995 and a Master of Architecture from North Carolina State University in 2001. These educational achievements have been pivotal in shaping her approach to her business, which focuses on creating meaningful spatial experiences. Ms. Christine is currently licensed in Virginia and Florida. Additionally, she held a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED Homes) certification from the United States Green Building Council Triangle Chapter, which she maintained from 2010 to 2021.
Ms. Christine has enjoyed leveraging her design expertise to support worthy causes. She most notably headed the set design for “Journey to Bethlehem” at her parish, Calvary Chapel Cary.
Ms. Christine has been recognized with numerous firm and project awards for her contributions to architecture and interior design. More recently, she was recognized among the Top Three Residential Architects in Raleigh in 2022. She also received a Best of Houzz Award in 2023, a Best Luxury Retail Interior Design Award in 2024, and a City’s Best Award in 2024.
Looking ahead, Ms. Christine plans to expand her office presence in Florida while developing specialized design groups for projects in Australia and New Zealand.
