Mr. Espino, a distinguished figure in the health care industry, has dedicated over 45 years to advancing patient care and management. As the founder and chair of Complete Care Management Services with locations in South and Central Florida, since 2019, he has been instrumental in balancing best care practices with cost efficiency, ensuring that standards are set to enhance patients’ lives. Mr. Espino’s commitment to improving patient outcomes is evident in his efforts to provide seriously ill patients with the option to live at home, rather than resorting to hospice care. This approach addresses the limitations of hospice services by focusing on activities of daily living and offering comprehensive support.
Before establishing Complete Care Management Services, Mr. Espino was the senior director of business development for the Southeast region at Arete Provider Network, a post-acute, chronic care management, virtual primary care medical group practice and commercial ACO, in 2019. His expertise in care management was also honed during his tenure as the design team director and as a consultant at Privis Health from 2018 to 2019. In 2018, Mr. Espino briefly contributed as a strategic consultant for population health and network development at UniPhy ACO, where he played a pivotal role in enhancing health care delivery systems.
From 2016 to 2017, Mr. Espino excelled as the chief population health officer at Accountable Care Options LLC, where he focused on expanding the company’s primary care participants and adding strategic network participants. Concurrently, he managed operations as a division manager at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital between 2015 and 2017. Mr. Espino’s leadership skills were also demonstrated during his time as the chief executive officer of the Medical Group Management Association from 2013 to 2015.
Among other noteworthy roles in the health care sector, Mr. Espino was the vice president of provider relations at Gold Coast Health Plan, led Total Care Staffing Service under The Wedda Group LLC, and consulted with Management Consultants Inc. His foundational experience was built as the founder and chief executive officer of American Medical Rentals Inc., American Oxygen Inc. and American Home Care Services Inc. from 1979 to 1990. Outside the medical realm, Mr. Espino spent five years as the chief executive officer of MGM Construction Managers LLC, beginning in 2004.
An alumnus of Miami Dade College, Mr. Espino earned an Associate of Science in business management, marketing and related support services in 1980. His academic background laid the groundwork for his successful career in health care management.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Espino is actively involved in civic organizations such as HART, where he volunteers his time and expertise.
