Managing all of the buyer solicitations for design and construction projects during this time, he collaborated with the Michigan State Building Committee Administration, worked for the Internal Controls Evaluation in the Department of Design and Construction, and improved the productivity for personnel throughout the state government. Mr. Mathews’ career began as a regional project manager at Adrenaline! between 2011 and 2013, a post in which he handled over 80 large scale accounts across Michigan, negotiated with merchant organizations and clinics to achieve maximum returns on profit and expand their clientele, implemented performance improvement initiatives, and led the development, interpretation, and evaluation of policies, procedures, and regulations within the company.
In addition to his civilian career, Mr. Mathews served in the field of military intelligence with the Michigan Army National Guard from 2013 to 2019. Garnering a wealth of military experience during this time, the personal and professional development he underwent within the Michigan Army National Guard has undoubtedly contributed to his disciplined approach and strategic thinking in his professional endeavors. Moreover, Mr. Mathews was recruited as a project manager for the Intelligence Section’s tactical operations packet, a liaison for command working groups for the development of sustainable and life-saving initiatives for disaster relief efforts, and a staff manager for junior enlisted personnel for a two-star command size element within the Intelligence Section.
Mr. Mathews is also active as a member of Business Professionals of America, the National Society of Leadership & Success and Project Management Institute Inc., further cementing his notable standing in the industry. As a testament to his professional excellence, he was presented with a Rising Talent Award from the State of Michigan in 2018.
Before embarking upon his formal career, Mr. Mathews pursued an education at Siena Heights University in Adrian, Michigan, from which he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2011. He eventually concluded his academic efforts at Davenport University in 2016, graduating with a master’s degree in strategic management, magna cum laude. These academic achievements have been instrumental in shaping his unique and effective approach to project management and organizational change.
Mr. Mathews’ professional credentials are further bolstered by myriad certifications that underscore his commitment to continuous learning and professional evolution, including as a Certified Change Practitioner from Prosci and Professional Scrum Master from Scrum.org, both of which were obtained in 2022. Previously, he garnered the Project Management Professional certification from Project Management Institute Inc. in 2018. Mr. Mathews attributes his success to personal dedication and hard work, often dedicating time outside of work to enhance his skills and knowledge. Born in Cold Water, Michigan, Mr. Mathews enjoys an active lifestyle that includes exercising, participating in triathlons and hiking.
