Company: Paul M. Twardy Sr. LLC
Location: Madison, Wisconsin, United States

Paul Twardy Sr., architect at Paul M. Twardy Sr. LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements and leadership in commercial work.

A native of Chicago, Illinois, Mr. Twardy’s exceptional career path began in the Milwaukee area, where he spent his formative years. Upon graduating from high school, he pursued a higher education at Milwaukee Area Technical College, from which he graduated with an associate’s degree in architectural technologies in 1975. Aspiring to become an architect, he immediately sought to acquire his license in the state of Wisconsin, which required eight years of experience under an architect, engineer or land surveyor at the time. Mr. Twardy received one year of credit for his studies, courtesy of his instructors, and immediately began working in the field, which enabled him to obtain his architectural license in Wisconsin by 1983.

Though most positions in his field are short-term in nature, Mr. Twardy found much success over the course of a significant, 17-year tenure at Skyline Development in Milwaukee. Among the most important projects he handled during this time, he fondly recalls the development of industrial parks in the village of Germantown, Wisconsin, as a pivotal part of the design department. Alongside one of their engineers, Mr. Twardy was tasked with designing and constructing around 90 percent of the buildings in the park, although Skyline’s exclusive development agreements had unfavorable terms that eventually allowed other contractors to replace them.

In 2011, Mr. Twardy embarked on a new chapter by establishing his own eponymous architectural firm, Paul M. Twardy Sr. LLC. Utilizing the contacts and clients he had secured through his stellar work across his previous ventures, he has excelled as an architect, engaging in blueprinting, client meetings and fieldwork while completing and submitting essential documents over the past 14 years. Mr. Twardy’s excellent reputation in commercial work is further underscored by his active membership in such organizations as the American Institute of Architects and his involvement with Capital City Muskies Inc.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Twardy has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to community service through his leadership roles within the Free and Accepted Masons and the Order of the Eastern Star. Notably, he has been appointed as the Worshipful Master of both the West Allis Lodge and Doric Masonic Lodge in Madison and led the Order of the Eastern Star on nine occasions. His steadfast dedication to these organizations have earned him the title of Mason of the Year on three occasions.

Outside of his professional engagements, Mr. Twardy enjoys partaking in outdoor activities such as fishing and hunting. A devoted family man, he is the loving husband to his wife, Kristin, and a dedicated father to his two wonderful children, Angela Laiosa and Paul Twardy Jr.. Attributing his success to his loyalty, his laid-back and collaborative nature, and strong listening skills, Mr. Twardy emphasizes the importance and necessity of understanding his clients’ wishes and ensuring that the areas he designs work together harmoniously together. Looking toward the future, Mr. Twardy aspires to retire while continuing to support his grandchildren’s aspirations alongside their parents. His enduring commitment to family and community remains a cornerstone of his life as he continues to contribute meaningfully through his professional and civic endeavors.
