Steven Foreman, roper and docent at Will Rogers Memorial Museum, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in nonprofit organization administration.

With decades of experience to his credit, Mr. Foreman has dedicated his life to a diverse array of professional and personal pursuits, each marked by a commitment to excellence and community engagement. Since 2019, he has excelled as a roper and docent at the Will Rogers Memorial Museum in Oklahoma. In this role, he is also the president of the ropers, where he assists guests, answers questions, and volunteers for children’s activities. His responsibilities additionally include maintaining the exhibits and ensuring the safety of visitors around the statues. Mr. Foreman’s passion for sharing knowledge and connecting with people from around the world is evident in his interactions with myriad museum visitors.

Prior to his current positions, Mr. Foreman enjoyed a long and fulfilling career at Earle M. Jorgensen Co. Steel and Aluminum, where he worked as a warehouse worker from 1979 until his retirement in 2019. During this time, he handled a number of demanding tasks such as loading and unloading trucks, managing inventory, and filing orders. His dedication to his work was matched by his enthusiasm for baseball; he served as a baseball umpire for more than 20 years after attending The Harry Wendelstedt Umpire School for professional umpires. His love for the sport began in junior college, where he played baseball before transitioning to officiating games in Oklahoma.

Mr. Foreman’s educational background includes coursework at Claremore Junior College, now known as Rogers State University, after earning a high school diploma from Claremore High School. He attributes much of his success to the strong influence of his father and grandmother, whose guidance instilled in him values of responsibility, contentment, and perseverance. These principles have been instrumental throughout his career and personal life.

In addition to his professional endeavors, Mr. Foreman is actively involved in cowboy fast draw competitions through The Cowboy Fast Draw Club. Since 2015, he has traveled to compete in these events, achieving notable success by finishing fifth in the national championship in 2020. His dedication to this hobby earned him the Top Hand of the Year award from The Cowboy Fast Draw Club. Mr. Foreman also remains a member of the Reenactment Guild of America. 

Mr. Foreman’s personal life is enriched by his family, which includes three children who have grown into accomplished adults and have blessed him with four grandchildren. He takes great pride in their achievements and cherishes the time spent with them. His personal philosophy is inspired by Will Rogers’ quote: “Live your life so that whenever you lose, you’re ahead,” which encapsulates his positive outlook on life.

Throughout his varied career and personal pursuits, Mr. Foreman has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to excellence, community service, and lifelong learning. His journey serves as an inspiration to those around him, embodying the values of hard work, integrity, and passion for life’s endeavors.

Looking toward the future, Mr. Foreman plans to continue volunteering at the museum while enjoying his retirement by taking care of his property and spending quality time with his family. He remains committed to staying healthy and mentally active through continuous learning and engagement with new experiences.
