Mr. Churchill’s responsibilities include managing day-to-day operations, identifying product costs, and engaging with leaders from various federal agencies, such as the Indian Health Service and the Bureau of Prisons.
Leveraging his former success, Mr. Churchill served as the director of national federal business and commercial access at Lexicon Pharmaceuticals Inc. from 2022 to 2023. In this capacity, he was responsible for expanding the company’s reach within federal markets by negotiating contracts, advocating for product inclusion in national and regional health plans, and coordinating with VA chief consultants regarding product strategy and formulary coverage.
Mr. Churchill’s expertise in navigating complex government systems was previously honed during his tenure as the senior director of government affairs at Pacira BioSciences Inc., where he worked between 2013 and 2022. Here, he played a pivotal role in shaping policies and leading strategies across the DoD and Veterans Health Administration systems.
From 2009 to 2013, Mr. Churchill was the senior director of national accounts at The Remedy Group LLC. His leadership skills were evident as he managed key accounts and fostered relationships that significantly enhanced the company’s market presence. Mr. Churchill’s success resulted in driving an increase in acute critical care sales by over 210% and expanding vaccine sales by approximately $20 million.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Churchill excelled at GlaxoSmithKline, where he was recognized as the top sales manager in the country from 2000 to 2003. Following this achievement, he became the leading regional sales director in neuro health for GlaxoSmithKline.
Mr. Churchill’s professional journey is deeply rooted in his military service with the U.S. Air Force from 1983 to 1995. During this time, he made significant contributions to major missions, including training newly appointed officers and collaborating with NATO on the Eloquent Nugget program. Mr. Churchill’s military career culminated in a promotion to major before retiring from the reserves in 2006.
A graduate of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, Mr. Churchill received a Bachelor of Science in health and physical education with a specialization in sports medicine, cum laude.
Mr. Churchill is a respected member of several organizations. He holds the title of chair emeritus for AMSUS-SM for the Society of Federal Health Professionals. He is also affiliated with Geoforce ROTC and the Tri-Mu chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. Mr. Churchill’s leadership extends beyond his professional roles into civic engagements as a board member of Gospel Nation Christian Fellowship in Georgia and assistant manager for the Douglas County Board of Elections.
