Additionally, she was active as a contract discussion leader for the Foundation for Accounting Education in New York and as a contractor for continuing education at the Center for Professional Education in Broomall.

Ms. Gioia’s academic achievements laid a strong foundation for her career. She initially earned a Bachelor of Arts in accounting, international management, and French from Avila University in 1981, graduating summa cum laude. She concluded her education with a Master of Public Administration in nonprofit management from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2007. Her certification as a certified public accountant in Missouri underscores her professional credentials.

Ms. Gioia’s contributions extend beyond her primary endeavors. She is actively involved with numerous industry-related organizations, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Missouri Society of CPAs. Her administrative roles include her appointments on the board of directors for the American Society of Women Accountants and as the chairperson of the Eastern Region Membership At-large Committee for the American Woman’s Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Ms. Gioia’s civic engagement is equally impressive, with involvement in organizations such as St. Therese North in Kansas City and United Way of Greater Kansas City. Providing her time and attention to Arts Alive and Community Accountants, she has been recruited to the board of trustees for Avila University since 2024. Ms. Gioia’s dedication to community service is reflected in her numerous accolades, including the Northfield Village Good Neighbor Award and recognition as an Accountant Advocate of the Year by the Small Business Administration.
