In 2024, she co-founded Untapped Investing, where she has focused on developing innovative investment strategies and fostering inclusive opportunities within the financial technology landscape. Headquartered in California, Untapped Investing’s mission is to catalyze change, profoundly impacting the venture landscape and closing the funding and wealth gap that has excluded people of color and women.
Since 2023, Ms. Mayo has also served as an adviser to Aviso AI, a software development company and end-to-end artificial intelligence-powered revenue operating system based in Redwood City, California, providing strategic guidance to support the company’s growth in artificial intelligence-driven sales solutions.
Ms. Mayo’s expertise in digital transformation was demonstrated during her tenure at ServiceNow, where she held several key leadership roles between 2018 and 2023. Acquired as a senior director of global sales operations, she was promoted to vice president of global sales and business operations in 2019 and to vice president of go-to-market experience and transformation between 2020 and 2023. Ms. Mayo’s tenure at ServiceNow included spearheading the company’s internal digital transformation, a process for which the company is widely recognized among its clients. This achievement stands as one of her most notable professional milestones.
Previously, Ms. Mayo was employed by Juniper Networks from 2011 to 2018, first as a global enterprise controller and then as a senior director of worldwide sales finance, starting in 2012. Her earlier experience included serving as a finance director for worldwide alliances and channels at Oracle Corporation between 2010 and 2011. Ms. Mayo began her career with various finance roles at Sun Microsystems, starting in 1997, where she developed a strong foundation in financial management and corporate strategy over the course of a decade.
Ms. Mayo’s academic background includes receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California, in 1995 and a Master of Business Administration from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, earned in 1997. In pursuit of continued professional development, she completed the Black Venture Institute Program through the University of California, Berkeley, Executive Education in Berkeley, California, in 2024.
Actively engaged with several professional organizations, Ms. Mayo has served as an advisory board member for the Sales Community since 2022, and as a graduate fellow and board of directors member for the American Leadership Forum Silicon Valley from 2022 to 2023, respectively. She has also been an executive member of Pavilion since 2024 and joined Black Women On Boards in 2025.
Apart from her professional affiliations, Ms. Mayo’s civic involvement reflects a dedication to community impact. As the childhood hunger initiative power pack lead for Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. since 1992, she has worked to address food insecurity among children. She also became an active donor and community partner with the Silicon Valley Social Venture Fund in 2023 and has served on the board of directors for Fostering Promise since 2024.
In addition to her executive positions, Ms. Mayo has contributed her insights as a speaker and panelist at prominent industry events. She spoke at Accenture Experience Day in 2016 and addressed “The New Face of 24×7 Marketing” at The Alexander Group Executive Forum in 2022. That same year, she participated as a panelist on “Advocating for Yourself” at the Fairygodboss Inspiration Summit and on “Chartering a Path” at Women at Microsoft Bay Area. In 2024, Ms. Mayo facilitated the opening session, “Investing in Innovation: Shaping the Future of Our Economy,” at the Investment Week Conference during LA TechWeek.
Throughout her career, Ms. Mayo has received multiple honors from Juniper Networks recognizing her leadership and contributions. She won the CEO Excellence Award and the Company Star Team Award in 2013 and was named a Summit Circle Winner in 2016.
Ms. Mayo attributes her success to qualities such as resilience, flexibility and curiosity, which were collectively shaped by her multicultural heritage and family history. Looking ahead, she aims to continue observing her own growth while pursuing new ventures that will leave a legacy within her community.
