In this capacity, Mr. Munsey manages a three-person estimating team and is responsible for securing bid opportunities, preparing estimates, negotiating contracts and overseeing long-lead item procurement. Mr. Munsey’s responsibilities also include negotiating agreements with subcontractors, ensuring that each project meets the company’s high standards for quality and efficiency.
During his tenure at Rancho Pacific Electric Inc., Mr. Munsey has witnessed remarkable growth within the organization. When he joined the company, annual revenue stood at $10 million. Over the course of just over a decade, he has seen that figure rise to $100 million. Mr. Munsey regards this achievement as a significant milestone in his career, reflecting both his dedication and the collective efforts of the team.
Before being promoted to chief estimator, Mr. Munsey served as senior estimator at Rancho Pacific Electric Inc. from 2014 to 2018. In this role, he played a pivotal part in developing competitive bids and supporting project management teams, honing his expertise in cost analysis and contract negotiation.
Before joining Rancho Pacific Electric Inc., Mr. Munsey excelled as the chief estimator at Sunwest Electric Inc. from 2000 to 2014. There, he led estimating operations for a variety of large-scale projects, demonstrating advanced skills in project planning and resource allocation.
Mr. Munsey began his professional journey as an electrician and service manager at Tri-State Electric in 1997. This foundational experience provided him with hands-on technical knowledge and practical insight into the complexities of electrical systems, laying the groundwork for his subsequent leadership roles.
Following high school, Mr. Munsey completed college coursework at Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga, California, between 1995 and 1997. Active in his professional community, he is a member of Associated Builders and Contractors, reflecting his commitment to ongoing professional development and industry engagement.
Mr. Munsey remains dedicated to making a positive impact on the community through the construction of schools and public facilities, such as a minor league baseball stadium for the Dodgers and one of the largest youth sports complexes in the Inland Empire. These projects serve as lasting contributions to residents.
