Michael Vasicek, consultant and partner at Kyndryl, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in internet technology (IT) services and consulting.

For nearly 20 years, Mr. Vasicek has established himself as a leader in the technology and business development spaces. He started out as the operational lead at Wolverine Bank in 2005, where he assisted with the bank’s transition to a public company. In this role, Mr. Vasicek implemented process and technology improvements at various branches of the bank across the state of Michigan. In part due to his guidance, the bank was acquired by another bank before he left the company.

Following this foundational experience, Mr. Vasicek became an analyst at Accenture, a global company that provides a range of technology consulting services. Associated with the company for more than 10 years, he received a number of promotions, eventually achieving the position of director. Concurrently with that, Mr. Vasicek spent several years volunteering as a business strategy and development manager with Shelterhouse, a women’s and children’s domestic abuse shelter. Taking on these duties without pay to support the financially struggling organization, he helped create a business plan that generated significant revenue and greater stability.

After leaving Accenture in 2022, Mr. Vasicek spent two years as a senior director at Salesforce. During this time, he led a small team of just over 20 colleagues who were responsible for managing the company’s largest clients, each of whom spent more than $25 million annually.

Since 2023, Mr. Vasicek has served as a consultant and partner at Kyndryl, a technology company that aids businesses in improving their IT, cloud technology and data management. Responsible for business development, he is an adviser to a range of clients, many of whom are executives of their own companies. Demonstrating his ability to adapt and evolve with advancements in technology, Mr. Vasicek has particularly focused on artificial intelligence (AI) in recent years. He regularly gives talks at conferences and presentations to clients on AI agents, seeking to enlighten them on how this emerging space could be leveraged in both their careers and personal lives.

Mr. Vasicek’s performance in the field was born of his academic journey. He obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration in business management from Northwood University in 2011. Subsequently, Mr. Vasicek earned a Master of Business Administration in business management from the same institution in 2013. He has furthered his credentials through continued learning, emphasizing the importance of continuing to build one’s expertise in a constantly changing field like technology. Among other qualifications, Mr. Vasicek is certified in design thinking workshop facilitation through Accenture; in leading with analytics and artificial intelligence through Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management; in international software testing through the International Software Testing Qualification Board; as an Amazon Web Services cloud practitioner through Amazon Web Services; in Azure fundamentals through Microsoft; in inclusive hiring and as an AI associate through Salesforce; in AI prompting for business operations through The AI Exchange; and in AI for everyone by DeepLearning.AI. He aims to acquire at least one new certification every other year at minimum and recommends the same for others in the field.

Long dedicated to civic advocacy, Mr. Vasicek is deeply proud of his work in the wider community. Most notably, he has been heavily involved in coaching, especially through Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA Inc.), where he has offered guidance as a volunteer, judge and director of the board of the Michigan Collegiate branch of the organization. Mr. Vasicek also currently heads the board of Queer Theatre Kalamazoo. His previous contributions include being a committee member for the Midland Young Professionals and the Midland Downtown Business Association and a director of the board and board member for the Bay City Players.

In addition to his primary vocation, Mr. Vasicek is a devoted husband to his wife, Katelyn, and a loving father to his daughter, Jasmine. His favorite pastime is traveling to new places. Looking to the future, Mr. Vasicek plans to continue expanding his mastery in AI, eager to embrace major advancements that are on the horizon. He intends to ensure his clients understand how to best utilize this technology to set their businesses up for long-term success. Beyond his career, Mr. Vasicek plans to continue sponsoring children through World Vision, a charity organization that provides humanitarian aid to impoverished children across more than 100 countries. He strives to make a difference in both his professional and philanthropic endeavors.
