Mr. Marhoum has established an esteemed career in the field of association management and technology solutions, marked by more than a decade of leadership and innovation. As president and chief executive officer of Benel Solutions since 2014, he has played a pivotal role in assisting both for-profit and nonprofit organizations with the implementation of customer relationship management systems. His expertise extends to developing strategies that increase member engagement, outreach, event sales and overall participation through software-driven solutions.

Mr. Marhoum has been recognized for his ability to identify effective business, strategic and technological solutions, as well as his commitment to growing his company. He is dedicated to collaborating with his team, fostering their professional development and conducting meetings that address complex challenges with efficiency.

Among Mr. Marhoum’s proudest professional achievements is his journey to the United States 25 years ago, where he pursued higher education and ultimately chose to build a life and career despite the challenges of adapting to a new country. He takes great pride in what he has accomplished for himself and his family, as he considers his children to be his most significant personal achievement.

From 2017 to 2021, Mr. Marhoum also excelled as managing partner at Ektira Solutions, where he further honed his skills in business strategy and client relations. Prior to this tenure, he was recruited as a senior systems engineer and solutions architect at Avectra, now MIP Accounting under Momentive Software Holdco, LLC, from 2012 to 2014. In this capacity, he contributed to the design and implementation of enterprise-level software solutions for associations.

In 2013, Mr. Marhoum held the position of enterprise solutions architect at A10 Consulting, where he provided high-level technical guidance on complex projects. His earlier experience includes serving as senior consultant at Urban Science from 2011 to 2012, where he briefly explored the automotive industry before returning to the association sector due to its collaborative and mission-driven environment.

As partner and co-founder of Croyant Media LLC from 2010 to 2011, Mr. Marhoum demonstrated entrepreneurial initiative by launching a venture focused on media solutions. From 2007 to 2011, he worked as a software engineer at Avectra, contributing significantly to software development projects that supported association management needs. Mr. Marhoum began his career as a software engineer at CrossField Discovery from 2006 to 2008, where he worked on projects including class action lawsuits that required technical acumen and problem-solving abilities.

Throughout his career, Mr. Marhoum has developed expertise in problem-solving and team building, skills that have been instrumental in his professional success. Moreover, he is an active member of several industry-related organizations, including the American Society of Association Executives, Alpha Lambda Delta and Phi Theta Kappa.

To support his professional ambitions, Mr. Marhoum pursued an education at the University of Arkansas, from which he earned a Bachelor of Science in information technology in 2005. He subsequently concluded his studies at George Mason University in 2007, graduating with a Master of Science in 2007. His academic achievements have provided a strong foundation for his work in technology-driven environments and leadership roles within the association sector. Furthermore, Mr. Marhoum holds certification as a certified advanced scuba diver, reflecting both his commitment to personal growth and his interest in diverse pursuits outside of his professional life.

Mr. Marhoum attributes his success to God and his faith, as well as the lessons learned from overcoming personal hurdles that have enabled him to grow both personally and professionally. Raised in Casablanca in a socially active family — his mother was involved in Morocco’s human rights movement since the 1960s with support from his father — he became one of the first children in Morocco to advocate for children’s rights during the 1990s. His involvement continued through college, where he was elected as president of both the Multicultural Association and the Student Together Activity Progression Association. This early exposure instilled in him a lifelong commitment to community service.

Mr. Marhoum’s civic engagement includes his appointments as a regional council board member for Loudoun County with United Way of the National Capital Area since 2018, an alumni development board member for Volgenau School of Engineering at George Mason University since 2017, an entrepreneurship judge for Future Business Leaders of America, Inc., since 2017, the chief operations officer at Discovery Deep since 2016, and a software application judge for Future Business Leaders of America, Inc., since 2016. Looking toward the future, Mr. Marhoum seeks opportunities to contribute within government or the private sector with the goal of helping improve the country’s global presence while reducing dependence on other nations.

Mr. Marhoum’s accomplishments have been honored with several accolades, including being highlighted among the “40 Under 40” by Arab America Foundation in 2021 and by Loudoun County Times, now Loudoun Times-Mirror, in 2016. Previously, he was presented with the Outstanding Peer Leader Award from the University of Arkansas in 2004.
