Mr. Morales, an expert in food production and safety compliance, currently serves as operations training manager at Wixon Inc., a role he has held since 2022. In this capacity, he is responsible for ensuring that staff in food production adhere to all standard operating procedures and for reviewing sanitation processes in collaboration with quality assurance teams. Mr. Morales develops and refines processes and methods based on current practice, and oversees onboarding and safety training for new personnel. He has notably established a team of training coordinators to assist with these efforts, implemented a floor certification process for lockout/tagout procedures, and conducts an eight-week training program for new hires.
Among other responsibilities, Mr. Morales is involved in auditing daily activities to ensure compliance, monitoring record-keeping and training requirements, and developing innovative training methods tailored to the industry’s unique needs. His expertise in production training, safety compliance and mental health crisis support is widely recognized, and he is praised for his ability to build meaningful professional relationships.
Before his recruitment to Wixon Inc., Mr. Morales was a regional trainer at Allied Universal from 2021 to 2022. In this role, he developed and delivered comprehensive training programs for security personnel, focusing on safety protocols, emergency response procedures and compliance standards.
From 2019 to 2022, Mr. Morales served as a certified coordinator for NAMI Wisconsin’s crisis intervention team. He was instrumental in providing outreach and support for individuals experiencing mental health crises. Mr. Morales considers guiding people through mental health crises and reaching and assisting them as the most meaningful accomplishments of his career. Between 2018 and 2021, he worked as a training specialist (corporate trainer) at G4S Secure Solutions (now Allied Universal).
Mr. Morales’s earlier career included service as a police officer with the City of Milwaukee from 1988 to 2016, where he held several specialized roles. His tenure as a tactical unit officer from 1996 to 2006 involved high-risk operations that required advanced tactical skills. He later served as a mayoral executive protection officer with the Milwaukee Police Department, ensuring the safety of city officials during public engagements from 2006 to 2008. As the regional coordinator for Mayors Against Illegal Guns within the City of Milwaukee Health Department from 2008 to 2010, Mr. Morales coordinated initiatives to reduce gun violence. Additionally, he was part of the crisis intervention team, providing frontline support during emergencies involving individuals in distress for over five years between 2010 and 2016.
Mr. Morales’s military background included service in the U.S. Navy as HM2 from 1983 to 1992 and inactive ready reserve status from 1991 to 1996. Throughout his military career, he received several commendations, including a Meritorious Unit Commendation Ribbon, a Kuwait Liberation Medal and a Fleet Marine Force Ribbon.
Academically, Mr. Morales is pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration at the University of Arizona Global Campus. He currently holds numerous certifications that have contributed significantly to his professional achievements, including a de-escalation and non-escalation instructor through the Unified Conflict Management System by Vistelar, an OCAT® in-house instructor certification, a Practical and Tactical Handcuffing instructor from Professional Protection Consultants Inc., and an advanced bleeding control instructor through the Health & Safety Institute.
Mr. Morales is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management, reflecting his commitment to ongoing professional development within his field. Throughout five decades of professional experience spanning military service, law enforcement leadership roles and corporate training management, he has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to excellence in every endeavor, earning recognition for both technical expertise and compassionate outreach within his community.
Looking ahead, Mr. Morales aims to ensure that the training platforms he is developing at Wixon remain sustainable and effective beyond his tenure with the company. He also plans to pivot into consulting, focusing on training development and mental health crisis intervention across industries, while continuing to give back by supporting organizations and individuals with his expertise.
