Since 2024, she has served as the cyber-supply chain risk manager at the U.S. General Services Administration. In this capacity, Ms. De Simone is responsible for reviewing and updating outdated contract clauses to enhance cybersecurity and supply chain resilience. She also ensures compliance with current procedures and IT requirements for all acquisitions and procurements, mitigates issues arising from data breaches, coordinates with all business lines during such incidents, and enforces adherence to operating procedures for managing vulnerabilities across the organization.

Before her current role, Ms. De Simone spent nearly two decades as a contracting officer at the U.S. General Services Administration, starting in 2005. During this tenure, she demonstrated exceptional leadership in acquisition process solutions. Her most notable achievement was leading the development of robotic process automation and spearheading the Notice of Reminders Automation project. This initiative sends automated notifications and reminders to contractors about reporting requirements mandated by the Federal Acquisition Regulation, significantly improving compliance and efficiency in federal procurement.

Ms. De Simone began her professional journey at GlaxoSmithKline plc, where she contributed from 1999 to 2003. Her early experience in a global pharmaceutical environment provided a strong foundation for her subsequent roles in government service.

Ms. De Simone earned a Bachelor of Business Management with a concentration in finance from Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania, in 2005. The knowledge gained through her studies in finance has been instrumental in her ability to navigate complex acquisition processes and manage large-scale projects within federal agencies.

In addition to her formal education, Ms. De Simone pursued advanced professional certifications that have furthered her expertise and effectiveness in her field. She holds a digital information technology acquisition professional certification from Management Concepts, as well as federal acquisition certification for contracting, level III, federal acquisition certification for contracting officer’s representative, level III, and federal acquisition certification for program and project managers, level III, from the U.S. General Services Administration. Additionally, Ms. De Simone maintains a top-secret security clearance through the U.S. General Services Administration, underscoring her trusted status in sensitive government operations.

Beyond her professional achievements, Ms. De Simone is actively engaged in civic initiatives and community service. She serves as an advisory board member for the Women in Leadership Program at La Roche University, volunteers with the mentorship program at the Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, coordinates various events, such as Take Your Daughters to Work Day with The Philadelphia Inquirer, LLC, assists at local soup kitchens during Thanksgiving, and supports gift donation drives for community events during the holiday season.

Throughout her career, Ms. De Simone has attributed her success to her drive, passion and strong work ethic.
