Recruited to PerkinElmer from CBRE, Mr. Seeders excelled as a pharmaceutical operations manager for the organization from 2013 to 2019. In this role, he oversaw pharmaceutical operations, implementing process improvements and managing cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry standards. Mr. Seeders’s leadership contributed to enhanced operational efficiency and the successful execution of key projects.
Before his tenure at CBRE, Mr. Seeders held several positions with Johnson Controls, beginning as a benchmarking specialist in 2005. For five years, he represented the laboratory instrument support group, as well as initiatives related to asset management and equipment registration in the CMMS. He was also instrumental in implementing new software tools. In 2006, Mr. Seeders was named an operations analyst. In this capacity, he analyzed operational data to identify trends, streamline processes and support strategic planning initiatives. Then, from 2018 to 2013, Mr. Seeders served as an operations and maintenance site operations supervisor II at Johnson Controls. He was responsible for supervising site operations, coordinating maintenance activities and fostering a culture of safety and reliability. His oversight notably resulted in a 10% reduction in annual operating costs.
Mr. Seeders began his professional journey as an analytical technologist at Occidental Chemical Corporation in 1983. Over more than two decades in this role, he honed his technical skills in laboratory analysis and quality control, supported new product development efforts, conducted routine maintenance on analytical instruments and more, laying the foundation for his later achievements in data analytics and operational leadership.
In preparation for his future, Mr. Seeders completed college coursework in computer science at Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pennsylvania. The knowledge he acquired during his studies provided a strong foundation for his analytical approach and problem-solving throughout his career.
Mr. Seeders has garnered tremendous success and expertise in his field. Among his defining achievements, he was tasked with consolidating two entities and unifying their databases at PerkinElmer. He assumed responsibility for the migration after a contractor withdrew due to concerns over data integrity. Collaborating with two subject matter experts, Mr. Seeders completed the complex migration within a six-month window, ensuring the integrity and recoverability of critical data.
Mr. Seeders attributes his success to perseverance, openness and a well-developed sense of humor. He believes that fostering an atmosphere of ease and approachability encourages others to be receptive to guidance and insights. Emphasizing that true learning often arises from setbacks, Mr. Seeders maintains that growth comes from reflecting on experience.
Looking ahead, Mr. Seeders aspires to provide for his family while cherishing meaningful moments together and embracing life’s finer experiences. He intends to continue mentoring former team members to support their professional development and to seek greater involvement in charitable activities through volunteering at food banks, hospitals or nursing homes.
