Mr. Stoddard has established himself as a leading expert in threat management and cybersecurity, with a career spanning over a decade across military, government and private sectors. Since 2025, he has served as a global threat and vulnerability management manager at Equifax Inc., where he analyzes new findings from external applications and the bug bounty program, conducts deep-dive reviews of newly released vulnerabilities, manages third-party attack surface management tools and drives cross-organizational collaboration to close security gaps. Mr. Stoddard’s work is instrumental in evaluating the impact of vulnerabilities on the organization and ensuring that prioritization criteria are met to protect critical assets.

Before joining Equifax Inc., Mr. Stoddard was a senior cybersecurity engineer for offensive security at T-Mobile USA, Inc., from 2022 to 2025. In this capacity, he led the company’s vulnerability and exploitation program for approximately 18 months, during which there were no security incidents tied to vulnerabilities. Under Mr. Stoddard’s leadership, his team closed gaps across hundreds of thousands of systems, safeguarding the data of millions of users.

From 2021 to 2022, Mr. Stoddard held two roles at Reyes Holdings. Initially hired as a cyber threat responder in 2021, he then became a senior cybersecurity vulnerability analyst between 2021 and 2022. In these positions, Mr. Stoddard was responsible for identifying and mitigating threats across the organization’s digital infrastructure by helping establish and deploy a sophisticated program for the global organization.

Early in 2021, Mr. Stoddard worked as an insider threat analyst at Core4ce, where he focused on detecting and addressing internal risks within government-related health services. His tenure coincided with significant disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, prompting his transition into the private sector. Between 2018 and 2021, Mr. Stoddard served as a cybersecurity engineer at Scientific Research Corporation, an advanced engineering company that caters to the U.S. Government, private industry and international market.

Mr. Stoddard’s professional journey began with five years of service in the U.S. Marine Corps from 2012 to 2017, where he held multiple roles across two deployments as an S3-E manager within the intelligence community. Specializing in signals intelligence closely tied to cybersecurity, he was responsible for securing and protecting his unit’s systems, work that remains largely classified but foundational to his later achievements. After completing his military service, Mr. Stoddard continued as a government contractor designing and building systems for the U.S. Marine Corps while providing training and technical support directly to U.S. Marines. Among his most significant accomplishments during this period was developing and rebuilding critical systems that continue to support approximately 2,000 U.S. Marines worldwide, a contribution he regards as a meaningful legacy in national security.

Highly educated, Mr. Stoddard received an Associate of Science in cybersecurity from Hawaii Pacific University in Honolulu, Hawaii, in 2020. Subsequently, he completed a Bachelor of Science in cybersecurity and information assurance in 2021 and a Master of Science in cybersecurity and information assurance in 2022 from Western Governors University in Salt Lake City, Utah. Mr. Stoddard’s academic excellence has been recognized through induction into three honor societies, including Omicron Sigma Sigma (the Order of the Soldier’s Shield). He was also recently inducted into an additional honor society for continued demonstration of leadership and achievement.

Mr. Stoddard’s professional qualifications are extensive, encompassing certifications such as CompTIA PenTest+, CompTIA Security+, and CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst, among others, from the professional organization. He also received credentials as a certified ethical hacker and certified encryption specialist from the EC-Council, as a systems security certified practitioner from ISC2 Inc., and with a credential in an assured compliance assessment solution from the Defense Information Systems Agency.

Mr. Stoddard’s outstanding performance during his tenure at T-Mobile USA, Inc., was recognized with the Q2T Defender Award in 2024. He attributes his success to a breadth of experience gained across diverse roles, providing him with a perspective that highly specialized professionals may lack, as well as hard work, personal drive and strong support from others, including his wife and sons. Mr. Stoddard continues to emphasize cross-organizational collaboration over competition for prestige or numbers, focusing on what strengthens the overall security posture. He also values transparency about mistakes as a leader, believing it empowers teams to take ownership and grow together.

Looking ahead, Mr. Stoddard plans to build a collaborative learning community where individuals interested in cybersecurity can ask questions and grow together. He also intends to expand the impact of his work. He aims to help develop an algorithmic approach to prioritizing vulnerabilities across industries, improving speed and effectiveness as security threats continue to evolve. Additionally, Mr. Stoddard is pursuing an additional master’s degree to deepen his expertise.
