Before establishing SPACEcraft Lab, Mr. Rajagopal served as the global head of product at Guidepoint in New York City from 2022 to 2026. During his tenure, he led a department that expanded tenfold within just a few years and played a pivotal role in transforming Guidepoint from a service-led to a product-led organization. Mr. Rajagopal’s leadership was marked by an emphasis on adaptability and vision-driven guidance, fostering an environment where team members were empowered to acquire new skills and remain relevant in an evolving industry.

From 2019 to 2022, Mr. Rajagopal held the position of executive director of product management at Kaplan. This role came after serving as the executive director of online learning classrooms and video at the Florida-based global educational services company from 2016 to 2019. In these roles, he was instrumental in developing platforms for live online teaching prior to the widespread adoption of video conferencing tools. Mr. Rajagopal’s efforts enabled hundreds of students to participate in virtual classes across diverse subjects.

During Mr. Rajagopal’s tenure at Kaplan, the COVID-19 pandemic necessitated a rapid shift from physical classrooms to online learning. His foresight and platform development allowed Kaplan to transition all operations online within one week, ensuring continuity for students despite increased demand. Additionally, Mr. Rajagopal contributed significantly to the General Educational Development program by creating a scalable platform capable of serving thousands of students simultaneously. These achievements aligned with his vision of leveraging technology to bridge educational gaps globally.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Rajagopal was a senior product manager at FINO Consulting from 2014 to 2016. He also held the role of director of technical product management at Kaplan Test Prep and served as a senior product manager at Pearson Education, dating back to 2011. Among other influential roles, Mr. Rajagopal worked as a lead program manager and onsite program manager at Aditi Technologies, provided his expertise as a Web 2.0 consultant for Schoolnet.com through Aditi Technologies, and was a senior program manager at Aditi Technologies. He also worked as a technical program manager at Ilink-systems following his research assistantship at the Human Interface Technology Lab and internship with Ashok Leyland, starting in 2001.

Mr. Rajagopal’s academic background has been foundational to his success. He earned a Bachelor of Science in electrical and electronics engineering at the University of Madras in Chennai in 2001 and a Master of Science in electrical engineering from the University of Washington in Seattle in 2004. Mr. Rajagopal further enhanced his professional credentials through specialized credentials, including a digital marketing strategy certification from Kellogg Executive Education and a certified usability analyst designation from Human Factors International.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mr. Rajagopal is an active member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, reflecting his engagement with leading industry organizations. He is also involved with civic-minded organizations and mentorship initiatives. Since 2021, he has served as a mentor and adviser for Propel and, since 2026, has served on the Future Skills Board for Gender Assembly. Earlier, Mr. Rajagopal mentored participants through Everwise, now Torch, volunteered with Asha for Education, and participated as a climber and fundraiser for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Alongside his consulting work, Mr. Rajagopal’s contributions have extended into public speaking and thought leadership. Notably, between 2016 and 2019, he was a featured speaker at Product School events where he shared insights on product management best practices. Additionally, Mr. Rajagopal is authoring a book titled “Fragile: A Survival Guide for Product Building in the Age of AI,” which will address the challenges and opportunities facing knowledge workers as AI reshapes the professional landscape.

Throughout his career, Mr. Rajagopal has demonstrated expertise in software building and education technology, fields in which he is widely regarded for his innovative approach and commitment to impactful solutions.
