Mr. Pattanayak’s professional journey spans over 25 years, marked by a progression through diverse roles in technology, consulting and leadership. Since 2022, he has served as the chief executive officer of Tipsora Inc., where he has directed the company’s growth and strategic vision. Under Mr. Pattanayak’s leadership, Tipsora Inc. has become recognized for its innovative approach to consulting and technology solutions, providing fractional chief technology officer (CTO) services to organizations that do not possess a dedicated CTO.

Before founding his business, Mr. Pattanayak briefly worked for KPMG in 2025 as a solutions architect. He also held several key positions at Microsoft between 2018 and 2025, including cloud solution architect for advanced analytics and artificial intelligence (AI), and senior cloud solution architect for data and AI, where he collaborated with chief information officers from leading banking organizations such as Citibank, JPMorgan, and BNY Mellon to address complex business challenges using the Azure data and AI ecosystem. From there, he became a technical specialist. During his time at Microsoft, Mr. Pattanayak launched his own company focused on speaking engagements and ad hoc consulting, supplementing his income while gaining valuable entrepreneurial experience.

Mr. Pattanayak worked at Ernst & Young as a consultant from 2017 to 2018, then as a manager in 2018. His expertise in financial crime solutions was demonstrated during these years, having rebuilt such systems multiple times for Ernst & Young’s clients. Earlier in his career, Mr. Pattanayak held consulting roles with several prominent organizations between 2009 and 2017, including Deloitte, IBM, the New York City Department of Education, Booz Allen Hamilton, and, among others, JPMorgan Chase & Co. At Booz Allen Hamilton, he played a pivotal role in developing a financial crime product that later became Risk Canvas and was acquired by Genpact.

Among his earlier roles, Mr. Pattanayak held the title of software developer at Great American Insurance Company, software developer and analyst at TRX, now Concur Technologies, Inc., where he focused on applications for corporate travel management, an early milestone that shaped his technical foundation, and software developer positions at PRIMUS and Infinite Tiers, dating back to 2004. Additionally, he served as a collection associate at Citi in 2004, following his initial work at the University of Cincinnati between 1999 and 2003 as a computer consultant, webmaster and teaching assistant.

Mr. Pattanayak’s academic background is distinguished by degrees from leading institutions. He completed high school at BJB College in India before attending the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, where he received a Bachelor of Technology in engineering physics in 1999. Embarking on a journey that would take him across continents, Mr. Pattanayak completed a master’s degree in electrical engineering at the University of Cincinnati in 2003 after arriving in the United States on a student visa in 1999, followed by an Executive Master of Business Administration in finance and general management from the Quantic School of Business and Technology in Washington, D.C., graduating in 2022 through an online program sponsored by Microsoft.

In addition to his formal education, Mr. Pattanayak’s commitment to continuous learning is reflected through numerous certifications and recognitions that have enhanced his expertise across multiple domains. Among these are the completion of the NEUWORLDZ Global Trailblazers — Industry Visionary Leadership program, awarded by Neuworldz, a GMI certification as a mentor through the Global Mentorship Initiative, OpenHack security compliance and identity certification, Databricks certification as an associate developer for Apache Spark and, among others, a Microsoft-certified Azure database administrator associate credential.

Throughout his career, Mr. Pattanayak has been actively involved with industry organizations. Since 2007, he has served as the social chair for the Dallas chapter of the Network of Indian Professionals. Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Pattanayak is deeply engaged with civic-minded organizations and mentorship initiatives. As a volunteer Facebook group administrator for the New York City chapter of FWD.us since 2014, he helps foster community engagement around criminal justice and immigration reform. Since 2022, he has served as a mentor with the Global Mentorship Initiative, supporting emerging professionals worldwide. He is also committed to helping underprivileged children prepare for their careers.

Mr. Pattanayak’s creative contributions include producing the podcast “What Comes Next with Arun P.” The podcast includes both solo episodes and episodes that include conversations with corporate professionals, industry leaders, innovators and other types of professionals, exploring topics such as technology, leadership, and the future of sustainable success. Aside from the podcast, Mr. Pattanayak enjoys public speaking, where he draws tremendous fulfillment. Previously, he co-authored “CMOS Optoelectronic Database Filter: Implementation and Analysis” published by SPIE and authored “Simulation Software for Performance Evaluation of Optoelectronic Database Filter” through the OhioLINK ETD Center.

Recognition during Mr. Pattanayak’s academic years included being named Debate Champion at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay and winning multiple other awards in debate competitions throughout his education. He also garnered Microsoft Global Hackathon recognition twice, received ACE Recognition as a Token Level 1 DREAM Demo Pioneer by Microsoft, and was featured in several magazines and online articles highlighting his professional impact.

A strong belief in lifelong learning has been central to Mr. Pattanayak’s achievements. He attributes much of his success to maintaining up-to-date skills and knowledge that allow him to identify new opportunities others might miss. This dedication gave him the confidence to establish his own company and continues to drive his vision for future growth. Looking forward, Mr. Pattanayak envisions establishing a significant startup where he will serve as the chief technology officer. He also intends to expand operations to manage an extensive client portfolio supported by a growing team dedicated to innovation and excellence within the industry.
