Mr. Decker also held the position of global operations readiness manager at Facebook (now Meta) between 2020 and 2021 and previously served as a global operations excellence lead at Facebook from 2017 to 2020. During his tenure at these organizations, he developed expertise in corporate operational guidance and site startup operations, skills that would later inform his entrepreneurial endeavors.
From 2015 to 2017, Mr. Decker excelled as a senior manager aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71), where he further refined his leadership abilities in high-stakes environments. His career included two decades of service in the U.S. Navy as an E-8 senior chief petty officer and nuclear engineer based in San Diego, California, beginning in 1997. In this capacity, Mr. Decker completed one of the U.S. Department of Defense’s most rigorous academic programs and gained extensive experience managing complex operational systems.
Mr. Decker’s academic foundation includes a Bachelor of Science in nuclear engineering technology from Excelsior University, earned in 2015. This degree provided him with a robust understanding of technical systems critical to both his military service and subsequent roles in data center management. Mr. Decker also obtained credentials as a certified reliability leader from the Association of Asset Management Professionals, underscoring his commitment to operational excellence.
Mr. Decker has been recognized for his commitment to excellence. He holds membership in several industry-related organizations, including 7×24 Exchange, Infrastructure Masons and the Association for Computer Operations Management. He began anew without prior exposure to key industry events or networks. Despite skepticism regarding new business survival rates, Mr. Dekcer persevered, driven by a desire to address persistent challenges faced by data center operators across the sector.
