A lifelong advocate of education and mathematics, Dr. Janson is professional who has committed her career to looking forward. She established Janson Associates with the hope of creating movements and change in ways that are important for the future. Ms. Janson’s strength is the ability to quickly assess and diagnose a situation and determine strengths, developmental areas, and a plan of action. At Janson Associates, she has a proven positive and sustained impact on individual growth, business effectiveness, and financial performance. She offers services for organizations, including creating strategy, building teams, integrating mergers and acquisitions, improving human resources functions, developing learning curriculum, conducting needs assessments, improving effectiveness and efficiency, and implementing talent and succession planning. For executives, she provides executives assessment and coaching through custom program development, which she also offers on a smaller scale to individuals at any level in their careers. Ms. Janson is highly regarded for her work creating high performing teams and facilitating productive work sessions among formerly broken teams.

In addition to her work as an entrepreneur, Ms. Janson is active in many prominent organizations. She is a member of the Foundation Ventures at Iowa State University, member of the International Cancer Advisory Board at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, member of the visiting committee for American Art at the Museum of Fine Arts, member of the dean’s advisory council for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Iowa State University, member of the mathematics department advisory council at Iowa State University, and a public consultant for the Everyday Learning Tribune Education Group. Ms. Janson also affiliates with the state advisory board for mathematics and science Education, the expert panel on material development reference for the National Science Foundation, the advisory committee for the State Systemic Initiative in Mathematics and Science, the legislative commission for mathematics and science education, and the steering committee for the American Mathematics Projects.

Ms. Janson credits her success to her education and work ethic. After completing coursework at the Rhode Island School of Design, she attended Iowa State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in mathematics in 1965. Ms. Janson then obtained a Master of Science in mathematics from Trinity College in 1970 and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Rhode Island in 1982.

Throughout her career, Ms. Janson has gained recognition for her incredible work. She was the recipient of a Rhode Island Entrepreneur of the Year Award from Ernst and Young, a Mortar Board Award from Iowa State University, a Distinguished Alumni Award from Iowa State University, and an outstanding alumni award from the department of mathematics at Iowa State University. Additionally, she has been featured in Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Entertainment, Who’s Who in the East, Who’s Who in the Media and Communication, Who’s Who in the World, and Who’s Who of American Women. Moving forward, Ms. Janson hopes to continue working toward a better future.
