The president and owner of Perception, Inc., since 1980, Mr. Titus has often worked with Jostens, the largest plant ring manufacturer across the globe. Interested in computer systems from an early age, he taught himself the fundamentals and was later invited to work with the University of Oklahoma, which prompted his interest in developing his own company. Now recognized as an electrical and manufacturing engineer and an electrical designer, Mr. Titus has invented approximately 50 products and holds more than 50 U.S. and international patents, including a heart attack predictor for use in open-heart surgery and Computerized Numerical Controllers (CNC).
Mr. Titus has started more than 15 companies throughout his career and was the vice president of National Computer Systems from 1985 to 1990, the president of Xtal, Inc., from 1990 to 1995, and the chief technical officer of Intercim, Inc., from 1995 to 2000. Earlier in his career, he served Westinghouse and Saturn Missile Systems, and worked as a welder in a machine shop. He holds a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering and industrial education from the University of Oklahoma and an additional Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering and computer graphics from the University of Michigan, and has received numerous awards for his innovations in the field. Mr. Titus currently owns a machine shop where he develops mechanical and electrical devices, and looks forward to the continued growth of his career.
