Tracy K. McCartney, Founder at Red Canary Collective, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in social and environmental justice.
In 2020, Ms. McCartney felt a calling to come out of retirement and launch the Red Canary Collective, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. The core of the business serves as a social change collective that brings people together around environmental and social justice. Boasting an online magazine, they partnered with philanthropists, corporations and foundations to be able to raise the voices of marginalized communities. Likewise, Ms. McCartney and her team are working with a number of indigenous people across the United States to bring awareness to Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women (MMIW), as well as other marginalized groups to raise awareness and discuss important topics.
Matriculating at the University of St. Thomas, Ms. McCartney earned a Bachelor of Arts in journalism in 1983 and a Master of Business Administration in marketing and business in 1991. At the beginning of her career, she worked as an advertising account executive for Martin Communications and Bozell between 1984 and 1989, as well as a manager of business development for Carlson Marketing from 1989 to 1994. Soon thereafter, she dedicated more than 25 years to marketing freelance consulting, which included one year as a sales and marketing consultant for Questar Customer Experience. Looking ahead, Ms. McCartney looks forwarding to continuing to grow the Red Canary Collective while helping marginalized communities.
