Lesley Barry, Executive Director at Good Life Services Inc., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in independent living administration.
Ms. Barry obtained a Bachelor of Arts in environmental studies from the University of Montana in Missoula in 2013. She has excelled as chief executive officer and developer of canine breeding organization Wolf Lady Inc. in Fergus Falls, Minnesota from 2007 to the present and in private practice as a massage therapist since 2011.
Beginning in 2016, Ms. Barry has prospered as executive director of Good Life Services, Inc. in Fergus Falls, which provides in-home family support, independent living skills training, individualized home supports, semi-independent living skills training and supported living service for adults. The group works closely with each client to develop a customized plan which will help him/her live with dignity in an environment in which they feel productive and are valued as contributing members of society. Examples of the assistance offered include such things as grocery shopping, cooking, appointments, budgeting, everyday living skills, and more. Ms. Barry maintains affiliation with the Minnesota Social Service Association.
Ms. Barry attributes her success to her leadership skills. She has had the same program coordinators and administrators within the entire duration of her time being CEO and her team has very much supported her ideals, her mission, and her vision which is another factor that led to her success. Ms. Barry considers her most notable achievement to be the level of expansion of the business, which has recently added a new facility base on grants that she wrote during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her goal in the coming years is to be able to create centers where people can have hands-on work with gardening, landscaping, janitorial, or farm work that will also serve as a community center where people would feel that they belong.
