Following coursework at Oklahoma Panhandle State University in Goodwell, Oklahoma, Mr. Thomas obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration from Southern University at New Orleans in 1984 and subsequently earned an associate degree in paralegal studies from Tulane University in New Orleans in 1993. He later continued his education with a Master of Arts in African American studies and pastoral care counseling from Loyola University New Orleans in 2000. For over three decades, he worked with major insurance companies in the claims litigation industry.
Since 2016, Mr. Thomas has found much success as director and owner of Inspiration House Care Providers, Inc., a premier home healthcare agency in Gretna, Louisiana, which provides care services for individuals with disabilities, Medicaid recipients, clients with workers’ compensation injuries and private clients. He oversees a staff of 70 and is in charge of observation and review of day-to-day operations, staffing, documenting reports, telephonic and virtual visits to clients, marketing strategies and compliance with state mandates. As a career highlight, Mr. Thomas takes pride in being able to transfer the skills he acquired as an athlete into his school life and profession. Apart from continuing to grow stronger as an entrepreneur and executive, he envisions a future where he expands his footprint as a motivational speaker.
