With more than 25 years of experience to her credit, Dr. Ward has excelled as the supply chain director for Adventhealth Wesley Chapel in Florida since 2015. Prior to this position, she found success as the supply chain director with HCA North and West Florida from 2007 to 2015. She was additionally active as the supply chain operations specialist with BayCare Health System in Clearwater, Florida between 1996 and 2007. Beyond her tenure in supply chain operations, Dr. Ward worked in the insurance industry.
Before embarking on her professional path, Dr. Ward pursued an education at St. Petersburg College, from which she earned an undergraduate degree in management and organizational leadership as well as an undergraduate degree in technology management. She continued her academic efforts at the Florida Institute of Technology, obtaining a Master of Science in supply chain management in 2015. Following these accomplishments, Dr. Ward concluded her studies at Capella University in 2021, graduating with a Doctor of Business Administration with a focus on global operations in supply chain management.
In addition to her primary responsibilities within the field, Dr. Ward has participated in numerous endeavors outside of her professional circles. She notably contributed to Osceola Middle School as the past president of the local Parent Teacher Association. She was likewise recruited as a volunteer with Cross Bayou Little League. Dr. Ward is also dedicated to her family, including her husband of more than 40 years and her two wonderful children, all of whom are former members of the U.S. military.
Attributing her success to her hard work and the support of both her friends and family during her higher education, Dr. Ward was drawn to her present profession after thriving in her first agency position, which inspired her employers to extend her two-week job to a full-time position. Among the many highlights of her career, she is incredibly proud of the opportunity to mentor others within her team, several of whom would advance into greater positions in their company. Looking toward the future, Dr. Ward hopes to become an adjunct professor to better train the next generation of supply chain administrators within the field of healthcare.
