Erron Gonzalez, STEM Program Director at Palo Alto College, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in academic management and administration.
After initially obtaining a Bachelor of Science in exercise science in 2009 with an emphasis in physical therapy from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado, Ms. Gonzalez later continued her education with a master’s degree in kinesiology with an emphasis in counseling from Texas A&M University-San Antonio in 2013. Currently, she is pursuing a Ph.D. in leadership studies from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio. Ms. Gonzalez gained valuable experience as a physical therapy technician with The Orthopedic Store from 2012 to 2014 and provided superior service as a health and wellness and medical billing specialist from 2014 to 2017.
In 2016, Ms. Gonzalez joined the faculty of Palo Alto College in San Antonio, where she has made an impact as a science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) academic program coordinator and director, in which her responsibilities include overseeing the program and procuring federal, state and local funds to support the expansion of the program for the benefit of the student population and the San Antonio community. In 2020, Ms. Gonzalez was honored with a Trusted Leader Award in the Emerging Leaders Program with Palo Alto and she was additionally selected for the Fellowship Program of the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities in 2021. As a career highlight, Ms. Gonzalez prides herself on changing the overall landscape of the STEM program at Palo Alto College, which she has helped to update using modern practices and technologies.
