Now retired, Mr. Lintala most recently found success as the director and lead systems analyst with the AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company. Prior to this position, he garnered experience with the Westfield Life Insurance Company and the Northwestern National Life Insurance Company. Additionally, Mr. Lintala holds 45 years of experience in the information technology industry.
Mr. Lintala’s areas of expertise include life insurance, information technology, and actuarial science. In his work with the AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company, he was responsible for systems management and was a consultant for product development. He attributes his success to his extensive background in life insurance and actuarial science. This enabled Mr. Lintala to rapidly become an expert in insurance as well as life insurance-related information technology.
When Mr. Lintala was in his early twenties, he visited an employment agency, that told him he should use his expertise in math to become an actuary. After connecting with the Northwestern National Life Insurance Company, he found the industry greatly enjoyable and remained in the field until his retirement. Among his career accomplishments, one of his earliest milestones was leading the successful installation of a program titled “Life 70” at Westfield Life Insurance Company, a feat he achieved in under two years.
In preparation for his career, Mr. Lintala attended The Ohio State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in mathematics, cum laude, in 1970. He is a donor to his alma mater and maintains membership in the Phi Beta Kappa Society. For his accomplishments, he is a multiple-time recipient of employee recognition awards from the AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company. In the coming years, Mr. Lintala hopes to submit editorials on religious topics to the New York Times and invest more time in astrophysics.
