Arlouine Gay Kingman, executive director of the Great Plains Tribal Chairmen’s Association, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in business administration and management.
With over three decades of experience to her credit, Ms. Kingman has excelled as a business administrator, specializing in public relations, education, and rehabilitation and recovery services for struggling companies. Since 2000, she has served as the executive director of the Great Plains Tribal Chairmen’s Association, where she works to improve the lives of Native American tribes by providing administrative services and working alongside the United States Department of Justice. She previously operated as the director of public affairs and the seminar institute of the National Indian Gaming Association, as part of the National Congress of American Indians, in 2000. In addition to her roles as a business manager, Ms. Kingman has also worked as an educator for 35 years, having maintained positions as a college president, school superintendent and principal, and teacher.
Prior to embarking on her vocational journey, Ms. Kingman cultivated her own formal education. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Education at Northern State University in 1962, she subsequently attended Arizona State University, where she received a Master of Education in 1972. Ms. Kingman also completed coursework and research toward a Doctor of Philosophy in higher education at Arizona State University, earning the status of ABD for her efforts. To commemorate her academic and professional accomplishments, she has been honored with several accolades over the course of her career, including a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2009. Attributing much of her success to the strong foundation her parents provided her with, Ms. Kingman hopes to write a book highlighting the struggles of Native American peoples in the near future.
