Ms. Whitney is an accomplished and experienced mental health professional who currently excels as the chief executive officer and psychotherapist at Waymakers Transformational Services. In preparation for her career, Ms. Whitney graduated in 1979 from St. John’s College with a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy and minors in math and science. In 1993, she earned a master’s degree in clinical psychology at Yeshiva University’s Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology. At the aforementioned institution, she completed all her doctoral coursework besides her dissertation.
Ms. Whitney became a Licensed Professional Counselor with the New Jersey State Board of Marriage and Family Therapy in 2017. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor through the New York State Department of Education, which she earned in 2006. Alongside her credentials in mental health counseling, she is a Certified Yoga Teacher and holds a certification in spiritual direction and contemplative leadership from the Shalem Institute of Spiritual Formation.
To keep abreast of her field, Ms. Whitney maintains membership with the New York Mental Health Counselors Association. In the coming years, she hopes to grow and expand Waymakers Transformational Services to serve more areas in her community. Ms. Whitney enjoys writing and collective visual arts in her spare time.
