Before this role, he was the associate vice president for institutional advancement at Columbia College Chicago from 2009 to 2014 and director of development at Southern Utah University from 2008 to 2009. Mr. Anderson was adjunct faculty at Oakland University from 2007 to 2008 and director of event operations at Columbia College Chicago from 2005 to 2007. He began his career with The Joffrey Ballet, garnering experience as a company member and manager from 1992 to 2005. Alongside his formal roles, Mr. Anderson serves on the board of directors for the Gerald Arpino Foundation and Chicago Dancers United.
In preparation for his career, Mr. Anderson graduated from Southern Utah University with a Bachelor of Science in marketing, public relations and advertising in 1989. In 1992, he obtained a Master of Fine Arts in arts administration from Wayne State University. Alongside his formal degrees, he holds a certificate in high-impact leadership and organizational leadership from the Loyola University Chicago Quinlan School of Business, which he earned in 2013. Mr. Anderson was a co-presenter at the Association of Fundraising Professionals’ Midwest conference in 2009. In 1996, he was recognized by the state of Utah. In his spare time, Mr. Anderson enjoys running, skiing, traveling, and participating in marathons and triathlons.
