With decades of experience to her credit, Dr. Morel has excelled as the founder and chief executive officer for Beyond Words Group Inc., formerly known as Lin Morel & Associates PA, since 1984. In this position, she has been responsible for helping thought leaders and people of global significance with issues involving trauma and post-traumatic stress. During this time, she has been additionally active as an associate for Univera Inc. from 2012 to 2016, a co-owner and teacher at the Academy of Martial Arts from 1983 to 1993, and the owner of Endless Mountains Retreat Center in 1984. A practitioner of Tai Chi and Qi Gong since 1965, Dr. Morel has further worked as the co-founder and instructor of the Academy of Asian Arts in 1976, the founder of Ai Do Kung Fu and the founder of Conscious Coach Training.
To support her professional ambitions, Dr. Morel pursued an education at Fairleigh Dickinson University, from which she earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology in 1969. Ordained as a non-denominational minister in 1981, she continued her academic efforts with a Master of Arts in applied psychology at the University of Santa Monica in 1994. She concluded her studies at Peace Theological Seminary, obtaining a master’s degree in applied theology in 1997 before graduating with a Doctor of Spiritual Science in 2001. In addition to these accomplishments, Dr. Morel has garnered various certifications in her areas of expertise, having completed the Annenberg Foundation’s Alchemy Plus Leadership Training Program, A Window Between Worlds’ Domestic Violence Leadership Training Program, and the Magellan Health Care Facilitator Training Program, to name only a few.
Outside of her primary professional circles, Dr. Morel served as a speaker and faculty member with the Academy of Comprehensive Integrative Medicine from 2013 to 2015. A steadfast advocate for victims of domestic abuse, she has found success with myriad civic responsibilities, including as a founding member of the Evolutionary Business Council, a volunteer member of the USC Veterans Collaborative, a board member and former chairperson for A Window Between Worlds, a founding member of XL World, and an invited guest in the International Goodwill Tour and Study Program at the University of Beijing. Dr. Morel has likewise accomplished much as an author, having penned eight books, including the best-selling “Soul Lifts: From Bumps to Brilliance” in 2014.
In light of her impressive undertakings, Dr. Morel has accrued several accolades throughout her career. A fifth-degree black belt and national karate champion, she was presented with State and National Silver Medals, Gold Medals and the New Jersey State Championship from the Amateur Athletic Union as well as Gold Medals from the Garden State Open Karate Championships. Recognized as the International Coach of the Year in 2010, she was further celebrated with a 2017 Commendation for Community Impact from A Window between Worlds and the County of Los Angeles.
